MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE HAVING GAS PROPELLANT
A medicament delivery device has a syringe, a housing, a needle shield, a biasing member and one or more blocking members. The needle shield is biased axially forwardly by the biasing member so as to selectively cover a needle of the syringe. However, the biasing member is prevented from biasing the needle shield axially forwardly until a radial movement of the blocking members has occurred, which is precipitated by a forward axial movement of the syringe. Consequently, the forward movement of the syringe releases the needle shield to automatically make safe the device.
Injection Device
The present disclosure relates to an injection device including: a housing; a carrier disposed within the housing for holding a syringe that has a needle at one end; a needle sleeve located within the housing and being axially moveable with respect to the housing between an extended position and a retracted position; a biasing element configured to bias the needle sleeve towards the extended position; and a locking mechanism configured to lock the needle sleeve in the extended position after use of the injection device, the locking mechanism comprising; a first locking member provided on and projecting from the carrier; and a second locking member comprising a deflectable arm provided on the needle sleeve and moveable between a relaxed position and a deflected position.
SUB-ASSEMBLY OF A MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a sub-assembly of a medicament delivery device comprising a plunger rod configured to be moveable inside the medicament delivery device, a spring abutting the plunger rod in one end and abutting an inner wall of the sub-assembly in another end to compress the spring upon the plunger rod being moved towards a distal end of the medicament delivery device, an arm extending axially and being immovable with respect to a housing, the arm having a radially extending end section, an inner surface of which end section pressing radially against the spring-loaded plunger rod to axially fix the spring-loaded plunger rod relative to the arm, a rear wall member axially movable from a lock position where an inner wall of the rear wall member radially encloses an outer surface of the arm to a release position where the rear wall member is radially offset relative to the outer surface of arm, a radially flexible tab having an axially directed surface adjacent to a counter surface of an engagement member to form an axial abutment preventing the rear wall member from moving into the release position, and a release member configured to be axially moved into contact with a radial protrusion of the flexible tab to radially deflect the flexible tab, thereby radially offsetting the axially directed surface from the counter surface of the engagement member.
Medicament delivery device
A medicament delivery device comprises a housing, a needle, a needle cover, a needle cover biasing member, a skin sensor, a skin sensor biasing member, and a retaining mechanism. The needle cover is axially movable between an extended position and a retracted position. The needle cover biasing member is configured to bias the needle cover towards the extended position. The skin sensor extends from the distal end of the needle cover and is configured to contact an injection site. The skin sensor biasing member is configured to bias the skin sensor from a proximal position to a distal position away from the needle cover. The retaining mechanism is configured to temporarily retain the needle cover in the retracted position and transfer at least a part of the force of the needle cover biasing member to the housing to prevent the needle cover biasing member from moving the needle cover distally.
Medicament delivery device
A medicament delivery device is presented having a housing with a proximal end and a distal end, a multi-chamber container arranged in the housing, a power assembly having accumulated energy arranged in the housing and configured to act on the multi-chamber container for obtaining and delivering a blended compound inside the multi-chamber container and a manually operable assembly extending from the distal end of the housing and being connected with the power assembly, wherein upon a manual movement of the manually operable assembly the power assembly is forced to move towards the proximal end to pressurize the multi-chamber container and wherein the medicament delivery device further comprises a needle shield sleeve slidably arranged in the housing, the needle shield sleeve being configured to interact with the power assembly to release the accumulated energy after the power assembly has been moved towards the proximal end.
NEEDLESTICK PREVENTION DEVICES
Disclosed a needlestick prevention device, comprising an injector component, an accumulation member, a fixing sleeve, and a limiting sleeve. The injector component includes a pressing cap, an injector syringe flanging, an injector syringe, and a needle. The fixing sleeve includes a locking clip, a flanging fixing clip, at least one support plate, and a limiting plate. The limiting sleeve includes at least one guiding feature, at least one first limiting hole, at least one second limiting hole, and a limiting buckle. In a first state, the accumulation member is accumulated, and the fixing sleeve is in a first position. In a second state, the locking clip rotates to separate from the limiting buckle, the fixing sleeve is released from the limiting sleeve, and the accumulation member is released. In a third state, the accumulation member is completely released, and the fixing sleeve and the injector component move along the at least one guiding feature to a second position.
INJECTION DEVICE WITH STABILIZING PASSIVE NEEDLE SHIELD
Medical injection devices incorporate collapsible, passive needle shields for avoiding inadvertent needle tip contact with objects. The needle shield is coupled to the distal end of the syringe barrel, enveloping the needle in its relaxed, non-compressed state. When the needle shield is in a relaxed, non-collapsed state, its contact surface extends distally longer than the needle tip, so that the tip is enveloped and shielded by the contact surface. Abutment of the contact surface against a desired patient body site stabilizes the syringe orientation. Thereafter, the syringe barrel is advanced, which passively collapses the needle shield, so that the now exposed needle tip pierces the patient's body, allowing injection of medical fluids by advancement of the syringe plunger. Injection device embodiments include ocular injection devices for injecting medication through the sclera of a patient's eye.
Needle and syringe system with automatic safety shield that renders a needle safe
A safety syringe system that automatically shields a needle after an injection. A plunger extends into a barrel. An elastic return construct is provided that has at least one stretchable arm. The elastic return construct engages the barrel and positions each stretchable arm along the exterior of the barrel. A safety shield is provided that slides over a first end of the barrel. In a first position, the needle is protected by the safety shield. In a second position, the needle is exposed. The safety shield engages and stretches the elastic return construct when moved from the first position to the second position. A locking mechanism is used to lock the safety shield into its second position. The locking mechanism is released by elements displaced by movement of the plunger.
