Dry ice draw through galley cooling
A galley cart system employs a dry ice compartment and a refrigeration compartment in a galley cart in flow communication with the dry ice compartment. A ventilation system is in interruptible flow communication with at least the refrigeration compartment and configured to receive gas discharged from at least the refrigeration compartment.
Heating and cooling system for a food storage cabinet
Systems for heating or cooling a food service container to an appropriate temperature for service or transport, and cabinets including such systems. A first manifold allows a seal to be made against a first surface of one or more Peltier chips and defines a flow path for a heat transfer fluid which directly contacts the first surfaces of the Peltier chips. The fluid circulates through tubing from the first manifold to a first radiator. A second opposite manifold defines a flow path for a heat transfer fluid which directly contacts the second surfaces of the Peltier chips. The fluid then circulates through tubing from the second manifold to a second radiator. The first radiator may be disposed inside, and the second radiator outside, the cabinet. Application of current in a first direction to the Peltier chips can heat the cabinet and reversal of the current may cool the cabinet.

A food prep table may include an upper chilling zone and a lower chilling zone, with each chilling zone containing an evaporation coil system, such as a TurboCoil system. The two evaporation coil systems are monitored and controlled by a dual thermostat and control unit (500) having temperature sensor probes in each chilling zone and controlling solenoid valves within each evaporation coil system. By the artful use and implementation of the dual thermostat and control unit, and by the artful use of T junctures in refrigerant supply and return lines, the disclosed embodiments enable a single condensing unit (600) to service both evaporation coil systems to achieve new efficiencies in the cost, refrigeration capacity, and thermal and mechanic attributes of the system. Moreover, an efficient dual air over air flow assembly is disclosed wherein chilled air is moved within the upper chilling zone in a manner that leverages the native configuration and cabinet surface areas of the evaporation coil systems.

COOLING AND HEATING PLATE
A cooling and heating plate, in particular for serving food and beverages, is connected to a cooling unit and an electrical heating device, preferably a silicone panel heater, is also provided on the under side of the plate. The plate is a multilayered plate having an upper plate, preferably of chrome nickel steel, and an aluminum plate situated thereunder. At least one steel pipe, which is preferably seamless with serpentine curves, having a compressive strength of at least 50 bar is integrally cast in the aluminum plate. As a result, carbon dioxide can also be used as a coolant. Fastening elements can also be integrally cast in the aluminum plate.

A base assembly integrated into an appliance including a lower frame and an upper operating component. A plurality of inter-assembleable and planar shaped members include each of a bottom and upwardly supported and interconnected front, back and sides, these collectively defining an enclosure having an upper surface adapted to support the operating component and a lower surface adapted to secure upon the lower frame. Mounting hardware including at least a plurality of threaded fasteners secures the bottom to locations along the front and back. Pluralities of vertically spaced tabs and opposing vertically spaced slots are configured along each of opposite edges of the sides and along each of first and second pairs of opposite edge extending brackets secured to each of the front and back and which overlap the side edges. The planar shaped members and mounting hardware are adapted to being shipped in a first flat-packed arrangement and subsequently assembled on site in a second use arrangement.
