FOOD PAN COOLING SYSTEM WITH ONE OR MORE PERFORATED FOOD PANS

A food preparation table includes a housing at least in part defining multiple food pan receiving locations and a cooling air flow path internal of the housing below the food pan receiving locations. A first food pan is positioned within a first one of the food pan receiving locations such that side walls and a bottom wall of the first food pan are within the cooling air flow path, a first one of the side walls of the first food pan includes a plurality of openings therein to permit some cooling air to enter the first food pan and flow in contact with food items therein.

The system is used for storing and delivering individual food trays having opposite hot and cold food products areas. The housing includes two separate chambers that can receive food trays through a respective one among two opposite lateral openings. Among other things, from the standpoint of an attendant at a food tray assembly station, this system allows using the same left-right food tray orientation regardless of which one of the lateral openings is directly set in front of the standpoint after repositioning the whole housing.

TABLE FOR MITIGATING INFECTIOUS DISEASE
20220125199 · 2022-04-28 ·

Tables for mitigating infectious disease spread are disclosed having at least two seating areas that are configured to minimize the transfer of aerosolized droplets among the seating areas. Between each seating area are a series of impermeable barriers—at least one hanging impermeable barrier that projects downwards towards a top surface of a table and at least one rising impermeable barrier that projects upwards away from a top surface of a table. The impermeable barriers are disposed to overlap one another along a line of sight between seating areas such that a bottom edge of the hanging impermeable barrier is at a height above the top edge of the rising impermeable barrier. Vacuum mechanisms can be positioned above the hanging impermeable barriers and below the rising impermeable barriers to create airstreams along the impermeable barriers that guide airborne particulate matter blocked by an impermeable barrier into a vacuum mechanism.

Heating device

A heating device includes a base member and a gas burner mounted in or on the base member. An upper housing located above the base member and a tabletop mounted above the upper housing. A hollow heat shield having a proximal end located on or near the base member, and a distal end located within the upper housing, and a support member extending between the base member and the upper housing or tabletop. The distal end of the heat shield extends beyond a proximal end of the upper housing, defining a region of vertical overlap between the heat shield and the upper housing.
