SEPARATION OF CANNABINOIDS FROM MIXTURES THEREOF BY EXTRACTION AND DISTILLATION
The present disclosure relates to isolating one or more cannabinoids from an input mixture. There is disclosed an apparatus that comprises a mixing vessel, a volatizing unit, and a distillation unit. The mixing vessel combines a first input mixture and a high boiling-point carrier agent to generate a second input mixture. The volatizing unit volatilizes cannabinoids from the second input mixture for separating the mixture into a cannabinoid-containing vapor stream and a residue. The distillation unit receives the cannabinoid-containing vapor stream and separates a first cannabinoid from at least a second cannabinoid. There are also disclosed methods that comprise the steps of combining a first input mixture with a high boiling-point carrier agent to provide a second input mixture, volatilizing the second input mixture into a vapor stream containing one or more cannabinoids and a residue, and separating a first cannabinoid from a second in the distillation unit.
Falling film evaporator system and methods
Falling film evaporator systems, devices, and methods are disclosed in the present application. In some embodiments, the falling film evaporator system can include a hollow cylindrical glass tube configured to enclose the major parts of the falling film evaporator system. Furthermore, in some embodiments, inserted into the cylindrical glass tube is another hollow evaporator tube with a dispensing bowl at the top, a reservoir of the dispending bowl facing the inside top of the cylindrical glass tube. Inserted into the hollow evaporator tube is a heating element configured to heat the hollow evaporator tube such that an outside surface of the evaporator tube is heated. At the top of the hollow cylindrical glass is an inlet where liquid flows into the dispensing bowl, spilling over the edges of the bowl, generating a thin film of liquid that is evaporated as it falls down the outside surface of the evaporator tube.

WORKING FLUID EVAPORATOR FOR AN OTEC PLANT, COMPRISING IN PARTICULAR A REDISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a working fluid evaporator for an OTEC plant, comprising an evaporator body extending along a longitudinal axis, a bundle of evaporators transporting hot water and comprising a plurality of evaporation elements, a sprinkling system extending above the bundle of evaporators and a casing covering the bundle of evaporators and the sprinkling system, an evacuation area being formed between end columns of the evaporator elements and the casing. The evaporator further comprises a redistribution system configured to collect the working fluid in a liquid state in the evacuation area and direct it to interior evaporator elements.
Evaporation panel systems and methods
The present disclosure is drawn to systems and methods of treating or utilizing water, including water for cooling applications or separation of compounds from wastewater, using evaporation panels, evaporation panel systems, evaporation panel securing systems, evaporation panel sub-assemblies, evaporation panel assemblies, groups of evaporation panel assemblies, wastewater evaporative separation systems, evaporative cooling systems, splash containment shields, water delivery trough systems, and the like.
Concentrator and crystallizer evaporation system
An aqueous stream cleaning system including a circulation pump to receive a waste fluid and/or a concentrated liquid bottoms stream, and expel a circulation stream. The aqueous stream cleaning system can also include a primary heat exchanger to receive the circulation stream from the circulation pump. The primary heat exchanger can have a plurality of heat exchange plates that define an internal surface area for heat transfer from a distillate stream to the circulation stream to produce a cooled distillate stream and a heated circulation stream. The plurality of heat exchange plates can be spaced to facilitate free flow of solids in the circulation stream between the plurality of heat exchange plates. A mass flow rate and pressure of the circulation stream can be configured to minimize build-up of solids in the primary heat exchanger. The aqueous stream cleaning system can further include an evaporation unit to receive the heated circulation stream from the primary heat exchanger. The distillate stream is formed when steam in the heated circulation stream evaporates in the evaporation unit, and the concentrated liquid bottoms stream is formed from a portion of the heated circulation stream that does not evaporate.
PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF SOLID SACCHARIDES FROM AN AQUEOUS SACCHARIDE SOLUTION
Solid saccharides are produced from an aqueous saccharide solution in a process, where the aqueous saccharide solution is admixed with a carrier liquid in which the saccharides are insoluble and that has a boiling point higher than that of water to obtain an aqueous admixture, and where the aqueous admixture is subjected to an evaporation step. The heat for the evaporation is at least partially supplied by a heated surface area to yield a vapor fraction including water and a residue fraction including solid saccharides and carrier liquid.
SYSTEM FOR TREATING BIO-CONTAMINATED WASTEWATER AND PROCESS FOR DECONTAMINATING A WASTEWATER SOURCE
A system and process for decontaminating a bio-contaminated wastewater fluid as from a slaughterhouse or similar facility. The system and process recovers purified vapor/steam through a decontamination unit having a plurality of alternating rotating trays and fixed baffles in a processing vessel producing separate purified and contaminant streams. One or more filter/strainer units are disposed in parallel before the decontamination unit, and may be used alternately while the other is cleaned. A rotating shaft connected to the rotating trays may also connected to an electrical generator to provide electricity for circuits and controls in the system.
Apparatus for purifying organic compound and method of purifying organic compound
An apparatus for purifying an organic compound and a method of purifying an organic compound, the apparatus including an inner tube that receives a purification target material therein; a heater that heats the purification target material received in the inner tube; an evacuator that evacuates the inner tube into a vacuum; and a driving device that drives the inner tube.
