GAS/LIQUID SEPARATION COLUMN CONTAINING A DISPENSING DEVICE
Gas/liquid separation column, containing a device for dispensing a liquid, intended for a gas/liquid separation column, comprising: a plate, in which several orifices are arranged, through which the liquid is able to leave the dispensing device; a plurality of stacks extending from the plate, each stack being configured to be followed by the gas; a plurality of plugging means respectively arranged at one end of one of the stacks, each plugging means having a gutter shape allowing a first portion of the liquid to be collected; a plurality of troughs for directly collecting a second portion of the liquid, at least one part of the orifices being distributed in the base of said troughs, each plugging means comprising a first open longitudinal end and a second closed longitudinal end.
Dispersing Apparatus and Defoaming Apparatus Comprising Same
The present invention relates to a dispersion device and a defoamation device comprising the same, which provides a dispersion device comprising a dispersion plate equipped with an inclined surface extended downwards obliquely and raw material inflow nozzles formed on the inclined surface to introduce a raw material into the inclined surface; and a band spaced apart from the inclined surface of the dispersion plate to form a gap from the inclined surface, thereby being configured so that the raw material flows through the gap.
Annular divided wall column
An annular divided wall column for the cryogenic rectification of air or constituents of air is provided. The annular divided wall column includes a first annular column wall and a second annular column wall disposed within the first annular column wall to define an annulus column region and an interior core column region. The present annular divided wall column further includes structured packing elements disposed within at least the annulus column region as well as a ring-shaped cantilevered collector; and a ring-shaped distributor disposed in the annulus column region above or below the plurality of structured packing elements. The thermal expansion and contraction of the second annular column wall in a radial direction and in an axial direction is independent of the thermal expansion and contraction of the first annular column wall in the radial and axial directions.
Vapor-liquid contacting apparatus and process with offset contacting modules
A high capacity and high efficiency co-current and cross-flow vapor-liquid contacting apparatus and process is useful in distillation columns and other vapor-liquid contacting processes. The apparatus is characterized by an arrangement of offset contacting modules in horizontal stages. The modules define a co-current contacting volume and in an exemplary configuration the modules include a liquid distributor and a demister. Half modules comprise downcomers against the shell of the vessel for transporting liquid to the subjacent stage.
Distributor device, in particular for falling film evaporators, and use thereof
The present invention relates to a distributor device (10000) for the even distribution of a fluid (10) into 2 or more fluid streams each containing gas (11) and liquid (12), with a falling film evaporator (100000), in which the distributor device according to the invention serves to distribute the 2 or more fluid streams onto the heating pipes of the evaporator, and to the use of the distributor device (10000) according to the invention and in particular the falling film evaporator (100000) according to the invention in the production and/or preparation of chemical products. The distributor device according to the invention is characterized, in particular, by a swirl breaker (600) for the gas phase (11) which arises from separating the fluid (10) into a gas phase (11) and a liquid phase (12) within the distributor device.
Annular divided wall column with ring shaped collectors and distributers
Liquid distributor in columns, method for producing a liquid distributor and column and method for separating substance mixtures
A liquid distributor is used as an internal column component for a defined distribution of a liquid flowing downward within a column. The liquid distributor includes at least a bottom and side walls which constitute a container for the accommodation and defined distribution of the liquid. The bottom and at least one of the side walls are constructed from panels that are connected to each other. The panel or panels of the at least one side wall include a fiber composite material. A column and a method for separating substance mixtures are also provided.
STRUCTURED ELEMENTS AND METHODS OF USE
Structured elements with capabilities for stream flow division and distribution and mitigation of undesired species that exceed those of conventionally available materials are provided. The structured elements provide increased opportunities for surface attraction, retention and coalescence of undesired species in a process stream. The functional contact surfaces of the structured elements can include one or more of the faces of cells, the surfaces of struts connecting cells, the surfaces of nodes connecting struts, and the surfaces of asperities or irregularities caused by channels, flutes, spikes, fibrils or filaments in or on the material surfaces.

DISTRIBUTOR TRAY WITH COMPARTMENTS AND GAS RISERS OF THE SAME SHAPE FOR AN OFFSHORE GAS/LIQUID CONTACT COLUMN
The invention relates to a distributor tray (100) for a column for contact between a gas (G) and a liquid (L), comprising a plurality of compartments defined on one face of the tray by secant partitions (104) which are perforated (105) to allow the flow of liquid between adjacent compartments. Each compartment comprises at least one means for the passage of the liquid through the tray or a chimney (102) projecting from the tray for the exclusive passage of said gas (G) through the tray. The shape of the chimney is identical to the shape of the compartment containing it, and the chimney has an internal volume at least equal to the volume of the compartment containing it.
