Surface adaptive tension-compression base structure and apparatus using the same
A tension-compression base structure includes tension elements (such as flexible cables or ropes) and compression elements (such as rigid legs) with a slidably adjustable path for the tension elements around or within the compression elements, thereby enabling a degree of adaptability to support surfaces that may not be ideally flat, such as on outdoor terrain. Such a tension-compression base may be used to support a platform that may be desirably held in a preferred orientation irrespective of terrain irregularities. Height adjustment of the platform can be achieved via a telescoping mechanism, a gas spring, or the like, at the one or both ends of the compression members of the structure. A spring or other compliant member inline with the “loop” tension member can be included. The spring also can remove the requirement for fine adjustments of tension elements during normal service. The spring can benefit various tension-compression base structures.
Fire pit-storable panel systems and methods
A multi-use convertible furniture piece, having a table top including a channel, the channel configured to receive a lid panel therethrough, a support frame connected to the table top, a door operably connected to the frame, the door including at least one receiving pocket, the lid panel configured to connect to the table the top and the door, and wherein the door is hinged to the support frame and a portion of the lid panel is received into the receiving pocket. The multi-use convertible furniture piece is also configured to receive and store the lid panel on at least one portion of the support frame.

Portable and adjustable picnic table
A picnic table includes a table panel, one or more bench panels and a supporting frame to support the table and bench panels. The supporting frame includes first and second supporting assemblies, each including a table support and one or more bench supports. The supporting frame further includes a table frame and one or more bench frames. The table frame rotatably connects the table support of each of the first and second supporting assemblies with the table panel. Each bench frame rotatably connects a bench support of each of the first and second supporting assemblies with a bench panel. The table support of each of the first and second supporting assemblies is adjustable in length. Adjusting the length of the table support changes the height of the table panel with respect to the one or more bench panels.
