Channel bubble reduction device, channel bubble reduction method, and chromatography device
A channel bubble reduction device includes a liquid accommodation portion, that accommodates a liquid, a liquid supply apparatus that, with a pushing operation of a rod, discharges the liquid through an aperture portion of a tube portion, a first channel that connects the aperture portion of the liquid supply apparatus with the liquid accommodation portion, and an air layer formation apparatus that forms an air layer in at least one of the first channel or the tube portion.
Subsea Deoxygenation In A Water Injection Process Plant
A water injection process plant includes a catalytic deoxygenation unit located subsea that makes use of a reducing agent sent from topsides in liquid form. The catalyst is preferably a palladium catalyst or its equivalent. The reducing agent is an oxygen scavenger such as but not limited to hydrazine, carbohydrazide, sodium erythorbate, methyl ethyl ketoxime (“MEKO”), hydroquinone, diethylhydroxylamine (“DEHA”), formic acid (methanoic acid). A chemical umbilical can be used to deliver the reducing agent to a mixer located upstream of the deoxygenation unit, where the agent is mixed with seawater containing oxygen.
DEGASIFICATION SYSTEM FOR A NUCLEAR POWER PLANT AND METHOD FOR DEGASSING A FLOW OF REACTOR COOLANT
A nuclear power plant includes a nuclear reactor and a reactor coolant circuit containing a reactor coolant. The nuclear power plant further includes a degasification system (2) for the reactor coolant. The degasification system (2) is an ultrasonic degasification system comprising a sonotrode cluster (11) with at least one sonotrode (10) arranged in a line of the reactor coolant circuit or in a line which is fluidically connected to the reactor coolant circuit.
GAS TREATMENT METHOD, AND GAS TREATMENT DEVICE
An aspect of the present invention is a gas treatment method including: an absorption step of bringing a gas to be treated, which contains carbon dioxide and a sulfur compound, into contact with an absorption liquid to be phase-separated by carbon dioxide absorption, to cause the absorption liquid to absorb the carbon dioxide and the sulfur compound; and a first release step of heating the absorption liquid brought into contact with the gas to be treated to a temperature equal to or higher than a temperature at which the carbon dioxide absorbed by the absorption liquid is released from the absorption liquid and lower than a temperature at which the sulfur compound absorbed by the absorption liquid is released from the absorption liquid, to release the carbon dioxide from the absorption liquid.
Method and System for Treating Renewable Feedstocks
A non-petroleum or renewable feedstock containing oxygen and contaminants of metals, gums, and resins is treated by introducing the feedstock into a reactor at a flow velocity of from 20 ft/sec to 100 ft/sec. The feedstock is heated within the reactor to a temperature of from 700° F. to 1100° F. to remove and/or reduce the content of the contaminants to form a reactor product. The reactor product is cooled to form a cooled reactor product. Non-condensable gases, metals and water are separated and removed from the cooled reactor product to form a final product. The final product has an oxygen content that is 60% or less of that of the feedstock, and wherein the final product comprises 25 wt % or less any triglycerides, monoglycerides, diglycerides, free fatty acids, phosphatides, sterols, tocopherols, tocotrienols, or fatty alcohols, from 5 wt % to 30 wt % naphtha, and 50 wt % or more diesel.
Introducing hydrogen gas to an ICP instrument for enhanced detection of low-sensitivity elements
A method for detecting material in a sample using an ICP instrument includes preparing the sample for analysis by the ICP instrument using hydrogen gas. For example, hydrogen gas can be generated by initiating a hydride generation reaction with the sample. Further, hydrogen gas can be introduced to a component part of the sample. For instance, hydrogen gas can be added to an injector gas in a spray chamber of the ICP instrument.
REDUCTION IN VOC AND FOG VALUES OF POLYPROPYLENE GRADES BY AERATION
A process for reducing the amount of volatile and semi-volatile organic substances of a polypropylene composition to below 150 μg/g (VOC, VDA 278 October 2011) and below 350 μg/g (FOG, VDA 278 October 2011).
Simultaneous crude oil dehydration, desalting, sweetening, and stabilization
Integrated gas oil separation plant systems and methods are disclosed. Systems and methods include treating a crude oil inlet feed stream with a high pressure production trap (HPPT), a low pressure production trap (LPPT), a low pressure degassing tank (LPDT), a first heat exchanger, a second heat exchanger, a LPPT recycle water stream, a fresh wash water supply stream, and a LPDT recycle water stream, where the LPDT recycle water stream is operable to supply recycle water from the LPDT to an output stream from the HPPT to form the LPPT inlet feed stream.
Fuel oxygen conversion unit with a fuel gas separator
A fuel oxygen conversion unit includes a contactor defining a liquid fuel inlet, a stripping gas inlet and a fuel/gas mixture outlet; and a fuel gas separator defining a fuel/gas mixture inlet in flow communication with the fuel/gas mixture outlet of the contactor and an axis. The fuel gas separator further includes a stationary casing; and a separator assembly including a core and a plurality of paddles extending from the core, the separator assembly rotatable about the axis within the stationary casing to separate a fuel/gas mixture received through the fuel/gas mixture inlet into a liquid fuel flow and stripping gas flow.
