The present invention relates to a device and a method for separating bubbles from a fluid comprising a chamber through which a fluid can pass. According to the invention the device is characterized in that the inner chamber wall has a geometry that generates within said chamber a continuous flow and at least one area with a discontinuous flow which has a low flow velocity so that bubbles remain at the inner chamber wall in said area and thus are separated from the fluid flowing out from the chamber.

A gas-liquid separator according to an embodiment of the present invention separates a mobile phase containing a gas and a liquid into a gas and a liquid. The gas-liquid separator according to the embodiment of the present invention includes an introduction flow channel to which a mobile phase is introduced, and a plurality of discharge flow channels connected to the introduction flow channel. A gas and a liquid are discharged from a discharge port of the discharge flow channel.

APPARATUS FOR TREATING WATER

An apparatus (12) for treating water, in particular for removing surfactants from waste water, includes a vessel (14), defining an inlet (16) for receiving waste water containing air bubbles, and an outlet (20) for the exit of water, following treatment. Inside the vessel there is at least one tubular member (50) having a lower open end (52) into which the flow of waste water from the inlet may be directed in use. The tubular member (50) extends from the inlet towards a top of the vessel where an upper exit (54) from the tubular member is defined. In use, most un-aerated water entering the vessel through the inlet can exit the tubular member at the lower open end. Foam formed in the water by the air bubbles may travel up the tubular member to the upper exit, which is preferably located above the water level (60) in the vessel.

BACKSCATTER REDUCTANT ANAMORPHIC BEAM SAMPLER

Embodiments of the present invention include a backscatter reductant anamorphic beam sampler. The beam sampler can be implemented to measure a power of a reference beam generated by an electromagnetic radiation source in proportion to a power of a working beam. The beam sampler can provide astigmatic correction to a divergence of the working beam along one axis orthogonal to a direction of propagation. The beam sampler can further be implemented to prevent backscatter from impinging upon a photodetector of the beam sampler resulting in a reduction of error and instability in measurements taken by the beam sampler.

Degassing device for systems for treatment of food products such as leaf vegetables, tuberous, fruit of meet, cheeses or sausages, and like, characterized in that it includes—a degassing conduct for a food product treatment fluid, the degassing conduct having, in sequence along its development trajectory, an inclined inlet tract, within which the flow fluid rises, a degassing tract, and an outlet tract, within which the flow is directed downward; and—a degassing chamber, in correspondence of the degassing tract; the degassing tract having, at least on its upper wall, a plurality of holes suitable to communicate said degassing tract with the degassing tract to permit exit of air bubbles trapped within the flow from said degassing chamber, preventing exit of food products.

Gas-liquid separator and inkjet recording apparatus using the same

A gas-liquid separator includes a casing with a cylindrical chamber inside, a gas-liquid 2-phase inlet pipe which is attached to a wall of the casing and connected to the chamber, a gas outlet pipe for discharging the gas of a gas-liquid mixture flowing into the chamber, and the gas-liquid 2-phase outlet pipe for discharging the liquid as a most part of the gas-liquid mixture flowing into the chamber. A gap is formed around the gas-liquid outlet pipe in the chamber for separating the mixture into liquid and gas using the surface tension and suction force. The gas-liquid separator is installed in the inkjet recording apparatus, especially in the print head. The print head is filled with the solvent gas so as to be suctioned from the gutter to reduce the solvent consumption.
