System for separating solids from a fluid stream
10857488 · 2020-12-08 · ·

A system for separating solids from a fluid includes a containment vessel having a V-shaped tank in fluid communication with an agitated overflow tank. Baffles within the V-shaped tank provide a series of zones where the fluid is deposited for processing. A shaftless auger at the bottom of the V-shaped tank transfers solids to an area where they are pumped to a first hydrocyclone assembly associated with a first shaker. Overflow from the hydrocyclone assembly and underflow from the first shaker is further processed by a second hydrocyclone assembly associated with a second shaker. Overflow from the second hydrocyclone assembly and underflow from the second shaker are deposited into overflow tank which contains the cleaned fluid.

SOLID LEVEL MEASUREMENT WITH VIBRATING ROD SENSORS

A system for determining the level of solids accumulated in a sand separator has a vibratory level sensor and a solid separator control system. The vibratory level sensor includes a vibratory rod and an exciter connected to the vibratory rod. In some embodiments, a vibration sensor is connected to the vibratory rod to monitor changes in the vibration of the rod. In other embodiments, changes in vibration are measured by looking at the rotational speed and power inputs at the exciter.

RETROFIT BOX SYSTEM FOR CLEANING INACCESSIBLE FLOORS

Retrofit box systems to maximize operational capacity of inaccessible floors are described. The retrofit box system includes a gate complex that provides fluid communication between an inaccessible floor and a box, and a box to deliver a cleaner to the inaccessible floor and adapted for equalizing pressure when the inaccessible floor is under water while minimizing waste seepage from the retrofit box system. The retrofit box system further includes a power system and a control system to deliver the cleaner to the inaccessible floor and remove waste from the inaccessible floor and the box.

MULTIPHASE SEPARATOR, AND METHOD OF SEPARATING A MULTlPHASE FLUID

The present invention provides a multiphase separator for separating a multiphase fluid produced by one or more oil wells, the multiphase separator comprising: a separating vessel, comprising an inlet chamber and an oil chamber for collecting oil at least partially separated by a barrier; an inlet for introducing the multiphase fluid into the separating vessel; wherein the oil chamber is positioned on the opposite side of the barrier to the inlet; a gas outlet configured to collect gas separated from the multiphase fluid; an oil outlet configured to collect oil, separated from the multiphase fluid, from the oil chamber; a water outlet configured to collect water separated from the multiphase fluid; and a gas and water mixture injector configured to inject a mixture of pressurized gas and water in a lower portion of the separating vessel.

WASTE LIQUID TREATING APPARATUS
20200338478 · 2020-10-29 ·

A sedimenting assembly for sedimenting debris contained in a processed waste liquid in a sedimentation tank includes a plurality of partition plates extending vertically across a direction in which the processed waste liquid flows and disposed at spaced intervals in the direction, thereby defining a zigzag channel through which the processed waste liquid flows horizontally. The zigzag channel ensures a time during which to sediment the debris against a time during which the processed waste liquid flows through the zigzag channel, allowing the debris to settle reliably.

MEASURING MAGNETITE BUILDUP IN A MAGNETIC FILTER
20200324299 · 2020-10-15 ·

A magnetite level monitoring device for a magnetic filter in a central heating system, the magnetic filter including a separation chamber, an inlet to the chamber and an outlet from the chamber, and a magnetic element disposed within the chamber for attracting magnetic particles and removing the magnetic particles from the system water as it flows through the chamber, and the monitoring device including: a housing for placing adjacent to the outside of the separation chamber; a magnetometer mounted to the housing; a magnetic field guide mounted to the housing, the magnetic field guide being disposed between the magnetometer and the outside of the separation chamber, when the housing is mounted to the separation chamber; and output means adapted to issue a notification when the output from the magnetometer exceeds a predetermined threshold.

Basket-style solids interceptor

An improved solids interceptor and methods of using the same. The solids interceptor includes a tank having an inlet and at least one outlet, and an access opening on an upper end of the tank. A perforated basket is removably received within the tank via the access opening. When the basket is installed within the tank, wastewater entering the tank via the inlet flows into the basket, with the solid waste being collected in the basket and the liquid waste flowing out of the basket via the perforated screen. The basket and tank include an interlocking flange assembly that automatically axially aligns a basket inlet with an inlet pipe simply by inserting the basket into the tank. The basket is removable from the tank to easily clean out and discard solid waste accumulated in the basket.

Plate Settler Cover and Method

The present invention is directed to a plate settler cover that prevents algae growth, prevents contamination from organic material, and provides structural support for a user who is standing or walking on the plate settler system. The plate settler covers can either float directly on standing water present in the system or may be structurally supported such that the plate cover is positioned above the surface of the water.

PARTICLE SETTLING DEVICES
20200269161 · 2020-08-27 · ·

Settling devices for separating particles from a bulk fluid with applications in numerous fields. The particle settling devices include a first stack of cones with a small opening oriented upwardly or downwardly. Optionally, the settling devices may include a second stack of cones with a small opening oriented downwardly or upwardly. The cones may be concave or convex. These devices are useful for separating small (millimeter or micron sized) particles from a bulk fluid with applications in numerous fields, such as biological (microbial, mammalian, plant, insect or algal) cell cultures, solid catalyst particle separation from a liquid or gas and waste water treatment.

Sludge collection system for a clarifier
10751647 · 2020-08-25 · ·

A clarifier having a suction-type sludge recovery system is provided with at least one trough extending across the top of the tank and partially submerged in the liquid and a plurality of suction pipes extending from the bottom of the tank to openings in the bottom of the trough. A flow control assembly associated with each of the suction pipes includes a bracket attached to the top of the trough, a damper plate slidable relative to the openings in the trough and a control arm, which is connected to the damper plate and supported by the bracket, for adjusting the orientation of the damper plate, and therefore the flow rate of sludge into the trough. The flow control assembly is offset from the central axis of the suction pipe, so that when the damper plate is open, the suction pipes can be rodded out to disperse clogs.
