A filter is provided including a vessel having an input positioned near the top of the vessel for contaminated fluid; the vessel containing media; a drain screen; a propeller rotatable on a drive shaft extending downwardly from the top of the vessel; a deflector plate below the drain screen to impel media outwardly from the center of the vessel; a plurality of baffles positioned on side walls of the vessel; and a drain to remove fluid from the vessel.

A diffuser and solids collection system includes an enclosure including an input for receiving from a petroleum well a stream of fluid carrying solids. A set of baffles within the enclosure reduces the velocity of the stream of fluid. A solids collector in fluid communication with the enclosure receives the stream of fluid after the reduction in the velocity of the fluid by the set of baffles. A weighing system coupled to the solids collector for weighing the collected solids.

A skimmer for use in a manhole includes a frame and cladding. The frame includes an adjustable arc having an adjustable overall length and including an arced member, a first side member and a second side member. The arced member has a first end and a second end opposite the first end and defining a curve therebetween. The first side member is slidably adjustable relative to a first end of the arced member and selectively coupled thereto in one of a plurality of predefined first side member positions. The second side member is slidably adjustable relative to a second end of the arced member and selectively couplable thereto in one of a plurality of predefined second side member positions. The cladding covers a substantially entirety of one side of the frame.

Vaults, boxes, systems, and methods of treatment systems to capture pollutants from storm water runoff and prevent the conveyance of these pollutants from entering a receiving water body or landscape area, which is designed to be a part of a local permanent storm water drainage infrastructure. A single treatment box, vault and system combines both drainage conveyance, multi-level treatment techniques, variable hydraulic capabilities, and easy and inexpensive methods for servicing the system, along with a hinged skimmer system with or without a float. The hinged skimmer system can include a rigid vertical panel attached by pivotal support rods that allow the vertical panel to move up and down along a vertical plane in front of an outlet flow line to a vault. The system can also include components selected from a shelf or baffle beneath the hinged skimmer, a dual screened filtration system, media filtration, and hydroslide water pressure lines with spray heads for cleaning debris on a sloped floor, as well as a flow spreader, debris ramp and screened deflector.

A separation tank for the separation of a mixture of oil, gas, water, and solids obtained from an oil field includes distinct regions vertically located within the tank interior where constituent components of the mixture can collect. The inflowing mixture may be directed to a vertical column extending inside the separation tank and can be introduced to the tank interior through a swirl vane diffuser configured to impart a helical direction to the inflowing mixture that assist separation of the mixture component. To further facilitate separation of oil from the mixture, the separation tank may be operatively associated with an aeration system configured to generate and introduce an aerated liquid to the tank interior. Gas dissolved in the aerated liquid may form microbubbles that can naturally adhere to the oil and solids separate it from the mixture which can improve the quality of the water.

A method of treating flowback and produced water includes transferring flowback and produced water to a chemical treatment apparatus, mixing treatment chemicals with the flowback and produced water, transferring the mixture of treatment chemicals and flowback and produced water to a weir tank comprising a first end, a second end, an internal chamber, and a plurality of baffles positioned throughout the internal chamber to induce turbulent flow, transferring the mixture of treatment chemicals and flowback and produced water to a first settling tank that provides laminar flow, and transferring the mixture of treatment chemicals and flowback and produced water to a second settling tank that provides laminar flow.

A sedimenting assembly for sedimenting debris contained in a processed waste liquid in a sedimentation tank includes a plurality of partition plates extending vertically across a direction in which the processed waste liquid flows and disposed at spaced intervals in the direction, thereby defining a zigzag channel through which the processed waste liquid flows horizontally. The zigzag channel ensures a time during which to sediment the debris against a time during which the processed waste liquid flows through the zigzag channel, allowing the debris to settle reliably.

A system for dewatering a solid/liquid mixture is provided. The system is configured to separate the solids and liquid from the solid/liquid mixture. A method of dewatering is also provided. A mobile filtration system is provided. A system for separating a solid/liquid mixture is provided and includes a dump basin and a filter container in fluid communication with the dump basin. The dump basin includes a floor upon which an earthmoving implement may drive and upon which a solid/liquid mixture is dumped. The floor may define a plurality of apertures therein through which liquid from the solid/liquid mixture passes and through which the solid does not pass. The liquid passing through, the floor flows into the filter container. The filter container may include a weir plate. Methods of operation and assembly are further provided.

A cyclonic inlet diverter for initiating the separation of a multi-phase inlet fluid flow comprises an enclosed tubular body mounted crosswise within a larger separator vessel. The inlet diverter includes a splitter plate positioned within a center portion of the tubular body and configured to split the inlet flow into a first stream and a second stream, and a swirl plate positioned on each side of the splitter plate with angled surfaces configured to increase the cyclonic motion of the first and second streams within the tubular body. The inlet diverter further includes elongate apertures formed through bottom sidewall portions of the tubular body on each side of the splitter plate, an axial aperture formed through opposing end caps of the tubular body, and at least one radial aperture formed through lateral sidewall portions of the tubular body proximate each opposing end cap.
