SOLIDS TRANSFER PUMP WITH MODULAR COMPONENTS
20200385975 · 2020-12-10 · ·

An F.O.G. separation apparatus includes a tank for receiving a liquid effluent flow containing water, F.O.G., and gross solids. The tank has a chamber, an inlet in an inlet module, a downstream section and an outlet in an outlet module. The inlet module has a weir for the effluent downstream of a strainer to strain gross solids from the effluent. A pump upstream of the strainer pumps water and solids that do not pass through the strainer. The pump's rotatable vertical shaft has a motor at an upper and an impeller at the bottom. A pipe connected to the inlet module near the impeller conveys solids and water when the pump is activated and directs the solids and water to the outlet. F.O.G. and water entering the tank pass to the downstream section where the F.O.G. is removed from the water by a skimmer, and the residual water exist the tank through the outlet module.

A Tray Unit for a Wastewater Treatment Device and a Method of Assembling a Tray Assembly for a Wastewater Treatment Device
20200368643 · 2020-11-26 ·

There is described a tray unit for a wastewater treatment device. The tray unit has a substantially frusto-conical profile defining an axis and a central aperture. The tray unit comprises a plurality of distinct tray sections arranged around the axis. Each tray section comprises a portion of the substantially frusto-conical profile of the tray unit and is connectable to one or more of the other tray sections so as to form the tray unit. There is also described a method of assembling a tray assembly for a wastewater treatment device. The method comprises the steps of: providing a plurality of tray units, the tray units each having a substantially frusto-conical profile and a central aperture and comprising a plurality of connecting lugs each defining a hole; attaching a first one of the tray units to a plurality of support members by inserting the support members through the hole of the connecting lug of the first tray unit and securing the first tray unit to the support member; and attaching a second one of the tray units to the plurality of support members by inserting the support members through the hole of the connecting lug of the second tray unit and securing the second tray unit to the support member to form an assembly of tray units.

A STORM WATER DRAIN SYSTEM AND COMPONENTS THEREOF AND METHODS OF USE
20200370290 · 2020-11-26 ·

A method of removing sediment from fluid flow within a storm water drain pit by deflecting flow entering the pit towards the side walls of the pit by one or more deflectors. This reduces the energy of the fluid flow and promotes settling of sediment within the catch pit. Each deflector is preferably of a concave form and may be located in a storm water drain pit bag or suspended. A removable catch basin receptacle for a storm water drain pit includes a container has a low flow outlet defining a fluid path for fluid at a first level within the container to a second level, higher than the first level, outside the container. An overflow path provides a fluid flow path out of the container at a level higher than the first or second level.

Inclined plates for CSO

The subject disclosure is directed to a liquid purification assembly featuring an inclined cell separator located within a chamber. The separator features a plurality of plates oriented perpendicular between opposing spaced-apart substantially vertical weirs. The plurality of plates are substantially parallel to one another and extend longitudinally within the chamber. The first and second weirs can have a plurality of orifices extending therethrough between their front and rear surfaces. The chamber features an influent chamber, an effluent chamber and a sediment collection area along the bottom of the chamber below the cell separator. A net extending from the top edge of the first weir and over a portion of the cell separator is further provided. The assembly features a hinged baffle suspended below the bottom edge of the second weir.

The invention also relates to a method using said plant.

APPARATUS WITH IMPROVED GRIT REMOVAL

A grit removal system with an annular grit removal chamber and a central hopper beneath the chamber bottom, including an opening through the chamber bottom to the hopper. Influent and effluent channels direct wastewater with grit into and out of the grit removal chamber. A plate over the chamber bottom opening has a first portion with a plurality of first openings therethrough and a second plate portion with a plurality of second openings therethrough, wherein the flow velocity for a given flow rate through the first openings is greater than the flow velocity for the given flow rate through the second openings.
