Bubble measurement device
In a bubble measurement device for measuring bubbles moving in a liquid, the bubble measurement device includes a measurement chamber in which the bubbles in the liquid containing solid materials are introduced into the measurement chamber from below the measurement chamber, and providing a transparent slope facing diagonally downward at a position where the introduced bubbles rise, an image capturing device to capture an image of the bubbles passing the transparent slope, an introduction pipe provided below the measurement chamber to introduce the bubbles into the measurement chamber, and a bubble introduction valve that is immersed in the liquid to be measured and performs the introduction and blocking of the bubbles into the introduction pipe.
Method and system for buoyant separation
A method and system for buoyant separation of a target constituent of a sample, the method comprising: at a process chamber, combining a volume of substrates having a first density with the sample, thereby producing a population of target-bound complexes comprising the target constituent bound to at least a portion of the volume of substrates; within the process chamber, physically separating the population of target-bound complexes from the sample based upon interaction between the volume of substrates and an applied force; aggregating the population of target-bound complexes at a collection region of the process chamber; extracting the population of target-bound complexes from the process chamber; and processing the target constituent from the population of target-bound complexes for further analysis.
Systems and methods for activating and dewatering sludge using acoustic pressure shock waves
A method of activating and dewatering sludge through application of acoustic pressure shock waves to wastewater.
Algae separation system
An algae separation system can comprise a tank comprising an algae separation chamber. The system can comprise a first inlet to supply algae-containing water to a mixing region of the algae separation chamber. The system can comprise a second inlet to supply gas-containing water comprising dissolved gas to the mixing region of the algae separation chamber. The system can comprise a bubble generator in fluid communication with the second inlet, the bubble generator configured to generate a plurality of bubbles from the gas-containing water and to supply the plurality of bubbles to the mixing region to mix with the algae-containing water.
DENSITY-BASED SEPARATOR
The invention is in the field of separators, in particular the invention is directed to a density-based separator for separating a first and a second component comprised in a feed fluid, wherein said first component has a lower density than said fluid and said second component has a higher density than said fluid. The separator comprises a output section and a separation chamber. The invention is further related to a method for separating two components comprised in a feed fluid. The separator may be particularly suitable for water purification systems.
Acoustic pressure shock wave devices and methods for fluids processing
A method of treating fluids, including for recovery of water apart from impurities or undesired matter, utilizes application of shock waves to the fluids.
Apparatus for the extraction of phosphorus from wastewater
An apparatus for the extraction of phosphorus from wastewater that includes a precipitation module and a retention module. The precipitation module includes a crystallization vessel, one or more inlets disposed in a lower region of the precipitation module and at least one outlet disposed in an upper region of the precipitation module. The retention module includes a sedimentation vessel, at least one inlet disposed in an upper region of the retention module and at least one outlet disposed in a lower region of the retention module. At least one outlet of the precipitation module is connected to at least one inlet of the retention module and at least one outlet of the retention module is connected to at least one inlet of the precipitation module. The volume VS of the sedimentation vessel is greater than/equal to 0.6 times the volume VC of the crystallization vessel (VS0.6.Math.VC).
Microbubble generating device and contaminated water purifying system provided with microbubble generating device
A microbubble generating device that is capable of generating microbubbles from contaminated water is provided. The microbubble generating device 10 according to the present invention includes a liquid flow path 11 through which a pressurized liquid flows, a discharge path 12 through which generated microbubbles and a liquid are discharged, a throat part 13 that connects the liquid flow path 11 and the discharge path 12, and that has a flow path area smaller than the area of the liquid flow path 11 or the discharge path 12, and a gas supply path 14 for supplying a gas into the liquid flow path 11 or the throat part 13, wherein the gas supply path 14 has an exit end 143 that opens toward the downstream side of the liquid flow.
Apparatus and method for cleaning water
The present invention relates an apparatus for cleaning water, in particular precleaning seawater, including at least one tank for receiving water containing at least one flocculating agent for separating organic and possibly biological constituents contained in the water. The at least one tank includes at least one contact zone K for contacting the water containing the flocculating agent with at least one gas, in particular air, and at least one separation zone S for separating the flocculated organic constituents buoyed up by the gas. At least one gassing unit is arranged in the at least one contact zone K and at least one filtration unit is arranged in the at least one separation zone S. The at least one gas is injected via the at least one gassing unit without using a liquid carrier.
FLOATING CHOPPER SLUDGE WEIR
A system for consolidating and removing contaminate such as paint sludge or oils from a fluid mixture. A contaminate tank receives a supply of the fluid mixture containing contaminate from a source such as a manufacturing line where overspray of paints or cleaning solutions containing washed away oils are collected. A free floating weir floats on the surface of the contaminate tank and mechanically separates and removes contaminate from a surface of the contaminate tank and concentrates contaminate in a consolidation tank. The free floating weir is equipped with several features that enhance the ability of the free floating weir to remove contaminate without becoming clogged.
