SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF PRODUCING POTASSIUM SULFATE

Systems and methods of producing potassium sulfate can involve converting a mixed salts feed stream into a conversion end slurry in a conversion unit, the mixed salts feed comprising at least one potassium-containing salt, at least one chloride-containing salt, at least one magnesium-containing salt and at least one sulfate-containing salt and the conversion end slurry comprising schoenite; separating conversion end slurry into a conversion end solids stream and a conversion brine; leaching the conversion end solids stream in a crystallization unit to produce a potassium sulfate product stream comprising potassium sulfate and a crystallizer mother liquor comprising magnesium sulfate and potassium sulfate; collecting heat generated in the conversion unit by a heat pump; and providing at least a portion of the heat collected to the crystallization unit to regulate a temperature of the potassium sulfate product stream and the crystallizer mother liquor stream contained in the crystallization unit.

Separator for separating solids from an influent

A wastewater treatment device including a vessel having an inlet for receiving an influent stream, a grit outlet and a floating-matter outlet; a separator disposed within the vessel, wherein the separator comprises a tray assembly connected to the inlet and the grit outlet, the tray assembly including a plurality of nested tray units which define a separator axis and are spaced apart from one another along the separator axis, each tray unit having a substantially conical tray aligned along the separator axis and an aperture in the tray disposed at the separator axis and in communication with the grit outlet, wherein the wastewater treatment device further includes a spray nozzle configured to deliver a jet of fluid towards a surface of water within the vessel, wherein the spray nozzle is angled towards the direction of the floating-matter outlet to force floating matter accumulated on the surface of the water towards and out of the outlet.

Animal byproduct recovery system

A system for recovery of animal byproducts and providing water reuse from an animal processing plant waste stream. In one embodiment of the invention there is an equalization tank forming part of an animal processing plant that is mechanically filtered to recover animal byproducts from a water mixture in the equalization tank. In another aspect of the invention there is a skimmer tank that contains a skimmer mixture with water and animal byproducts. The system mechanically separates the animal byproducts from the skimmer mixture in a manner that is suitable for human consumption. The system also allows the separated water to be reused in the animal processing plant.

PROCESS TO TREAT PHOSPHATE ORES

The present invention relates to a process for treating non-sulfidic ores with a collector composition containing a primary and a secondary collector, wherein the primary collector is selected from the group of amphoteric and anionic surface active compounds and the secondary collector is an ethoxylated fatty acid wherein the average degree of ethoxylation is higher than 0 and less than 2, to collector compositions suitable for use in the above process, and to pulp comprising such collector compositions.

BIO-DAF SYSTEM FOR DOMESTIC AND INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT
20200223729 · 2020-07-16 ·

A system for effectively removing biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), total suspended solids (TSS), ammonia, total nitrogen (TN), and total phosphorus (TP) from wastewater has integrated multiple physiochemical and biological treatment processes into one unit. This system includes a primary DAF unit, anoxic bio-media treatment zone, and a secondary DAF unit. The bio-media treatment zones may be used to remove BOD and TN and may be divided into a number of functional zones. Each functional zone can develop and accumulate optimized bacteria species and microorganisms based on incoming wastewater BOD and nutrient levels.

Apparatus and method for recycling blackwater and greywater at oil and gas well sites

A mobile water treatment system and method, of which the system includes a bioreactor including an aerator tank configured to receive an influent fluid, a conical clarifier positioned in the aerator tank, the conical clarifier defining a downwardly-facing opening. An interior of the conical clarifier is in communication with the aerator tank, external to the conical clarifier, via the downwardly-facing opening. The bioreactor also includes a plurality of aeration vents positioned proximal to a bottom of the tank and configured to direct air into the aerator tank, but not toward a bottom of the conical clarifier, and an effluent outlet positioned in the conical clarifier. A relatively clean effluent fluid, in comparison to the influent fluid in the aerator tank, exits from the conical clarifier via the effluent outlet.
