FLOCCULATING, GRADING, AND DEWATERING DEVICE
A flocculating, grading, and dewatering device includes a tank body, a mixing zone, a flocculent settling zone, a centrifugal dewatering zone, and a particle screening zone. An initial material is mixed with a chemical agent for a flocculation reaction, a lower sediment material settles and an upper liquid overflows. In the centrifugal dewatering zone, a screen basket is allowed to rotate to facilitate a centrifugal movement of the sediment material, water in the sediment material moves into a guide cavity and then flows to a centrifugate outlet, and then a dewatered material in the screen basket is removed out of the screen basket. In the particle screening zone, a screening mechanism screens particles of different size grades in the dewatered material, and water generated flows downward and is discharged; liquids discharged from the centrifugate outlet and the overflow port are combined, and then discharged through a mixed liquid outlet.
Launder cover system
A launder cover system for reducing or eliminating sunlight exposure so as to prevent algae growth in a tank such as a clarifier tank. The launder cover system generally includes a plurality of support members and a plurality of launder covers which are each independently pivotably connected to a tank wall of a tank, such as by using a mount. The support members are each pivotably connected to the tank wall by a pivot connector and the launder covers are each pivotably connected to the tank wall by a hinge connector. Each support member is positioned between a pair of launder covers, and each launder cover is positioned between a pair of support members. The support members function to support the launder covers in a raised or lowered position. A launder support may be connected to the channel wall to support the launder covers in their lowered positions.
Filtration system for geared turbofan tank
A filtration system is provided that includes a gearbox positioned in a geared turbofan engine. The system further includes an auxiliary lubrication system positioned in the geared turbofan engine and in fluid communication with the gearbox. The auxiliary lubrication system includes an auxiliary reservoir, an auxiliary pump in fluid communication with the auxiliary reservoir, an auxiliary return line extending between the gearbox and the auxiliary reservoir, the auxiliary return line configured to transport a lubricant from the gearbox to the auxiliary reservoir, and an auxiliary supply line extending between the auxiliary pump and the gearbox, the auxiliary supply line configured to transport the lubricant from the auxiliary pump to the gearbox. The system further includes a non-removable filter positioned in the auxiliary lubrication system. The non-removable filter is configured to prevent or limit debris that is suspended in the lubricant from flowing into the gearbox and/or the auxiliary pump.
GREY WATER TREATMENT AND RECYCLING SYSTEM, GREY WATER TREATMENT AND RECYCLING PROCESS, SYSTEM CONTROL METHOD
A system for treating and/or recycling gray water includes a first receiving tank for gray water, a second receiving tank for treated water and a fluidic treatment circuit between the first and second receiving tanks. The first receiving tank includes an element for oxygenating the water in the first receiving tank and a system adapted to deliver enzymes into the first receiving tank. The fluidic treatment circuit includes a filtration unit, a microfiltration unit including at least one microfilter, a disinfection unit and a membrane ultrafiltration unit.
ORGANIC WASTE TREATMENT
An apparatus (2) and a method for pretreatment of organic waste from the Organic Fraction of Municipal Solid Waste and/or from food industries, upstream of an anaerobic digester. The apparatus comprises:—a squeezing-diluting-unpacking module (4) configured to receive an input waste stream (3) of packaged waste and a dilution fluid (10), to lacerate the packaging, and to output a coarser non-digestible stream (23) and a comparatively dirty and comparatively liquid slurry (26),—at least one settling module (30, 30a) configured to allow inerts in the comparatively dirty and comparatively liquid slurry (26) to sediment and to output a finer inerts stream (40) and a comparatively refined slurry (42),—a thickening/dewatering module (60) configured to separate and output a liquid stream (69) and a comparatively dewatered slurry (72).
SLURRY REMOVAL SYSTEM
A slurry removal system includes a tank, an eddy pump, and a pipe system. The tank is configured to receive a mixture of solid material and liquid. The eddy pump has a pump inlet connected to the tank and a pump outlet. The pipe system is connected to the pump outlet and including a discharge line and a recirculation line. The eddy pump is configured to pump the mixture of solid material and liquid from the tank through the pump inlet to the recirculation line to form an essentially homogeneous mixture, and configured to pump the essentially homogeneous mixture from the tank through the pump inlet to the discharge line to remove the homogeneous mixture from the tank.
FEEDWELL APPARATUS, TROUGH, PLANT AND USE
A feedwell apparatus trough, plant and use. The apparatus is adapted to materials including liquids carrying suspended particles, such as slurry containing minerals. The feedwell apparatus includes a supply channel for receiving the material, a trough, a first end of which being connected in fluid communication with the supply channel. The trough has a curved shape that turns in one direction, and a series of through-openings in the wall(s) of the trough. The through-openings are arranged in the trough in unequal pattern such that the area of the through-openings in pro-portion to the corresponding area of the walls has its minimum value in portion of the trough close to the first end thereof, and the relation being arranged to grow with the distance from the first end.
