Customizable multi-stage water treatment system
A customizable multi-stage fluid treatment assembly typically includes a connector, a plurality of cartridges, and a cap. The plurality of cartridges have a treatment medium spaced within an interior volume of the individual cartridges, between the ends thereof. The ends of the plurality of cartridges are configured to receive a fluid, bring the fluid into operative contact with the treatment medium, and dispense the fluid from the opposing end of the cartridge. The connector is coupled with one end of the plurality of cartridges and has an inlet and an outlet for receiving and dispensing the fluid to and from an appliance. The cap is coupled with the other end of the plurality of cartridges, enclosing the fluid treatment assembly, which is configured to be received in a cavity of an appliance. The cartridges of the plurality of cartridges may be individually replaced with cartridges to meet customized needs.
Filter system for removing and/or neutralizing undissolved oils, greases, and salts and/or metal abrasion debris on and in emulsions containing water
A filter system for removing and/or neutralizing undissolved oils, greases, and salts on/in water-containing emulsions from, in particular, tanks and baths that are used to hold and store emulsions, which are used to cool and lubricate workpieces and tools during machining, comprising at least one emulsifier filter, a downstream suction/pressure pump, a unit for gas enrichment, an adhesion filter having an automatic deaerator, a downstream oil-collecting vessel, and a capillary filter, wherein these are combined as a unit, such that the oil/grease film and the emulsion can be mechanically, chemically, and biologically treated.
Systems and methods of eliminating filter air locks
Systems and methods of eliminate filter air locks by maintaining a constant water table at the water head layer of the filter. The constant water table eliminates air locks in the filter as the filter drains. Water flows from the water head layer through a filtration medium in a filter cartridge, and the filtered water is output from a water outlet at the top of the cartridge. For a water table retention filter, where the water (or other liquid) being filtered, is re-directed to the top of the filter to the water head layer to avoid drawing air into the filter. Unfiltered water drains down the center of the filter to the water head layer and then flows up through the filter and is directed out near or at the top of the filter.
Fluid concentrator, autologous concentrated body fluids, and uses thereof
The present invention provides devices and methods for concentrating a fluid and for treating a patient with the concentrated fluid. The concentrator apparatus includes a main housing (12) defining a separation chamber (14), a filter housing (48) containing a filter (46) comprising a filter element, a piping (44) for moving concentrated fluid from the separation chamber to the filter, and ports (32) for pressurizing the concentrated fluid past the filter element of the filter. The present invention also provides a variety of uses of concentrated body fluids, including autologous concentrated body fluid. The concentrated fluids can be used for example in surgical applications, including graft applications such as allograft, xenograft and autograft applications.
SECONDARY TUBULAR COMPOSITE FILTER SOCK SEAM FILLING DEVICE AND METHOD OF USING SAME AND COMPOSITE FILTER SOCK ASSEMBLY INCORPORATING A SEAM FILLING DEVICE
A Composite Filter Sock Assembly includes a Compost Filter Sock and Secondary Tubular Seam Filling Device configured to be wedged beneath the compost filter sock, whereby the compost filter sock provides a pinning pressure to the Secondary Tubular Seam Filling Device and wherein the compost filter sock has a nominal diameter of 2-12 times a diameter of a tubular element of the Secondary Tubular Seam Filling Device. The Tubular Element may be least partially filled with a swell-able material such as sphagnum peat moss and may include a fastening mechanism on an exterior surface configured to facilitate coupling to a mesh tube of a compost filter sock.
Tide water filtering tanks having high circulation
A water filtering tank comprising a housing of the water filtering tank, water inlet pipe (3) installed on the housing receiving water into the tank, water distributing sheet (2) in which the said sheet is arranged inside the tank at the height lower than the inlet pipe (3) in which the said distributing sheet receives water flow through the inlet and comprises a plurality of pores positioned throughout the said sheet, rough filtering basket (1) in which the supporting lower surface comprises a plurality of pores and the said basket comprises rough filtering materials inside which arranged in the basket at the height less than the distributing sheet (2) and receives water flow through the said water distributing sheet, filtering material basket which is arranged inside the basket at the height less than that of the rough filtering basket (1) and comprises the filtering materials arranged into multiple layers and water outlet pipe (7) installed with the housing and releases water. Characterized in that the water filtering basket comprises a siphon tube supporting base (6) which is arranged at the lower part of the housing and further comprises a water outlet standing pipe (8) vertically installed on the said base and has the height less than the height of the inlet in which water is sucked out of the housing through the lower water outlet standing pipe (8) connected with the water outlet pipe (7) when water level filled inside the housing is at the same level as that of the water outlet standing pipe (8), siphon tube (10) covering the water outlet standing pipe (8) and further comprises snock tube (11) in which is in the U-shape having one end connected with the siphon tube at the predetermined height.
Method and apparatus for filtering stormwater
A device and method for increasing the area available for passing contaminated stormwater through a granular media. The device comprises of one or more elements of predetermined size and shape. The increased area available for flow is obtained by introducing a first media into predetermined areas of the device, introducing a second media into predetermined areas of the device, and bringing into contact the first and second media.
Extraction process
A process for extracting Cs-137 from i) an acidic solution obtained by dissolving an irradiated solid target comprising uranium, ii) an acidic solution comprising uranium which has previously been irradiated in a nuclear reactor, or iii) an acidic solution comprising uranium which has been used as reactor fuel in a homogeneous reactor, the acidic solution i), ii) or iii) having been treated to harvest Mo-99, wherein the process comprises contacting the treated acidic solution with an adsorbent comprising ammonium molybdophosphate (AMP).
