Automated waste water recycling system using advanced electro-coagulation unit

An automated waste water treatment system includes a collection tank constructed to hold waste water, a first flow line connected to the collection tank to output the waste water from the collection tank, an electrocoagulation unit that receives the waste water and outputs the waste water as coagulated waste water, a polymer dosage tank to provide a polymer dosage to the coagulated waste water to produce and output flocculated waste water. An air grid of the electrocoagulation unit, the latter housing a plurality of electrodes, increases the lifespan and efficiency of the electrodes to perform electrocoagulation of the waste water. A clarifier connected to the flow line receives the flocculated waste water and produces sludge-free waste water and concentrated sludge, a series of filters to output filter-treated water, and an ultrafiltration system that receives filter-treated water and outputs ultrafiltration-treated water to a reverse osmosis system.

Method and device for water priming microporous-carbon water filters using negative pressure
11731082 · 2023-08-22 · ·

A method and system for water-priming carbon micropore filter media using negative pressure. The method includes placing dry filter elements in a polymer bag, applying a vacuum of no more than approximately 33 kPa above zero pressure, and heat-sealing the bag using a heat-set bar; submerging, by a consumer, the vacuum-sealed bag with its the filter elements in water; the filters in the vacuum sealed bag are at least partially submerged, puncturing the bag to form one or more small openings in the bag below the water line. Breeching the vacuum causes the water to flow through the openings into the bag and the filter(s) to equalize the pressure between the water and the previously vacuum environment of the plastic bag, causing the surrounding water to quickly flow into the micro-pores of the filter media, thereby priming the carbon filter for use in the gravity-fed water-purification system.

Apparatus and method for rejuvenation and recovery of filtration media

Apparatuses and methods to rejuvenate spent filtration media are described. The apparatuses include a filtration unit to filter a liquid having solids that need to be removed and a rejuvenation unit to heat the spent filtration media that has reduced filtering capacity. The methods include using the apparatus to rejuvenate spent filtration media by removing solids deposited on the filtration media to allow its repeated reuse rather than being discarded and replaced with new filtration media.

Systems, devices, and methods for providing nutrient removals in an up flow filtration storm water system for treating water to very high clean levels using filtration media. A filtration media can be supported by a screen above a floor in a vault allows for incoming storm water to pass into a void space above the floor into the screen and filtration media and then out an outlet to the vault. The filtration media can include recyclable and/or natural particles. A top screen can be placed on top of the filtration media. Layers of river rocks can be placed on top of and below the filtration media. The captured debris can drop to the floor. The long lasting filtration media can be cleaned by being backwashed.

METHOD OF PURIFYING NATURAL WATER AND WASTEWATER
20220127175 · 2022-04-28 ·

The invention is classified as a physicochemical method of natural and waste water treatment and can be used in the energy engineering, chemical, petrochemical, food and other industries, especially in treatment of process, domestic, precipitation, mining, oilfield, quarry water and the water of tailing pounds.

The purpose of the invention is to improve the treatment of natural and waste water, to increase the capacity of a moving bed pressure filter and also to ensure high efficiency of the cleaning of the moving bed.

The technical result is the expansion of the range of application of the moving bed pressure filter ensuring high efficiency of treatment of both low-contaminated natural water and highly contaminated waste water.

This result is obtained due to the use of additional stages of chemical treatment during water treatment (oxidizing agent, demulsifier, powder sorbent), the use of various types of a pressure flocculation reactor, grains for a single and double moving bed, which have different grain composition and density, the performance of four-stage cleaning of the moving bed, the use of a dual-flow moving bed pressure filter, as well as due to the use of the additional pressure flocculation reactor followed by the removal of severe contamination with the use of a pressurized hydrocyclone.
