Filter Systems and Related Methods
Filter systems disclosed herein collapse for storage purposes and include mechanisms to continuously fill an upper chamber, allowing it to be smaller and to include more filters. A UVC light in a lower chamber sanitizes water entering therein. Water entering the lower chamber may pass through a quartz tube near the UVC light for sufficient exposure. The UVC light may be cycled between shorter periods of higher intensity and longer periods of lower intensity. A low power source such as a small solar array and/or battery may power the UVC light. A proximity switch may control the UVC light by providing power to the light only when the upper chamber is engaged with the lower chamber which may protect the user from exposure to the UVC light. Sealing mechanisms between the upper and lower chambers, as well as tote mechanisms and an alternative bucket filter system are disclosed.
MULTISTAGE FIBER FILTERING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF SELECTIVELY FILTERING
The present invention relates to a multistage fiber filtering apparatus capable of selectively filtering depending on turbidity of raw water, in which a first filtration mode where the raw water passes through a fiber ball medium, a second filtration mode where the raw water passes through a fiber yarn medium, or a third filtration mode where the raw water passes through both of the fiber yarn medium and the fiber ball medium may be selectively operated.
CONCENTRATION APPARATUS
A concentration apparatus that includes a liquid tank storing a liquid containing a filtration object, a tubular member having first and second end portions disposed in the liquid tank and forming a first circulation flow path therebetween, a circulation pump for supplying the liquid stored in the liquid tank to flow from the first end portion to the second end portion, a filtration filter disposed in a sidewall of the tubular member, a bypass pipe having first and second ends thereof connected to sidewalls of the tubular member so as to form a second circulation flow path between the first and second end portions of the tubular member, a switching valve constructed to cause the liquid to flow in one of the first or second circulation flow paths, and a control unit controlling driving of the circulation pump and a switching operation of the switching valve.
Recirculating fluid filtration system
A fluid filtration system comprising a cross-flow filter is arranged to permit a first pump to recirculate part of the retentate of the filter to the inlet of the cross-flow filter and a second pump to return part of the permeate to the inlet of the cross-flow filter. A third pump is configured supply source fluid to the inlet of the filter. The flow path between the second pump and the cross-flow filter inlet may include an adsorption filter that may selectively remove contaminants, toxins, or pathogens in the permeate. A controller may control the first, second and third pumps to provide predetermined flow ratios among the fluid flow paths of the system in order to achieve a desired filtration level. This system may be applicable to the removal of harmful substances from blood, by first separating the plasma from the blood and then removing harmful substances from the plasma.
Method for producing a pattern in or on a support
A method of applying a pattern formed of two different materials to a pattern support layer includes: providing a die form having a surface with recesses defining the pattern; applying a first curable material to a surface first region, received in some of the first region recesses and partially filling a first region recess set; applying a second curable material to some of the surface first region, the second curable material at least partially fills the first set of the first region recesses; contacting a pattern support layer with the die form surface to cover the recesses containing both the first and second curable materials; separating the pattern support layer from the die form surface, the first and second curable materials in the covered recesses removed therefrom and retained on the pattern support layer; and curing the first and second curable materials during and/or after the second and third steps.
Vessel screen retaining system and method
Certain embodiments include a screen assembly of a vessel, where the screen assembly includes a plurality of fixed elements and a retainer, and the retainer includes a ring, a plurality of wedges disposed about the ring, and a plurality of keyholes at spaced locations about the ring. Each keyhole includes a bore and a slot extending from the bore into an adjacent wedge of the plurality of wedges, the slots have a width less than the bores, and the retainer may receive the fixed elements through the bores and may be rotated in a relation with the plurality of fixed elements to bring the plurality of fixed elements into simultaneous engagement with the wedges.
Pump-assisted water filtration system
A pump assisted water filtration system comprising a filter assembly, a pump assembly, and a water storage tank, which produces purified water through a reverse osmosis process and stores the purified water for later use. The pump assembly receives water from a water source and delivers pressurized water to the filter assembly. The filter assembly is configured to filter the impurities within the water, producing purified water which is collected in the water storage tank. A water flow interrupt permits the flow of water to the pump when the water level falls within the water storage tank, and blocks the flow of water to the pump when the water storage tank is full. The pump is further configured to activate when the pressure of the water flowing to the pump reaches a pump activation threshold, and deactivate when the pressure of the water falls below the pump activation threshold.
Filter apparatus and method
The present disclosure relates to a filter apparatus (1) for mechanically filtering a liquid (W). The filter apparatus (1) includes a filter chamber (5) for containing a plurality of filter elements (7) that form a filter pack (29) for filtering the liquid. The filter chamber (5) has a liquid inlet (12) and a liquid outlet (14). The filter apparatus (1) includes means for introducing air into the filter chamber (5) through one or more air inlets (25) to agitate the filter elements (7). The filter chamber (5) is substantially sealed and the air introducing means (22) may be configured to draw air into the filter chamber (5) as liquid is drained from said filter chamber (5). In certain embodiments, the filter chamber (5) may have a substantially constant profile or a substantially continuously tapered profile along its longitudinal axis (X-X). The present disclosure also relates to methods of filtering a liquid (W).
VACUUM ASSISTED FILTRATION
A method of supplying a processing solution includes shutting off a feed line supplying the processing solution to a chemical filter, installing a dry chemical filter in a filter housing of the chemical filter, closing an output line from the filter housing to a nozzle configured to dispense the processing solution (either before or after installing the dry chemical filter), applying a vacuum to the filter housing while the feed line remains shut, and opening the feed line while locking in the vacuum within the filter housing. Shutting off the feed line and closing the output line may be accomplished by closing respective valves. Before installing the dry filter, a valve to the vacuum may be closed. The method may be performed by a processor executing a program stored in a non-transitory computer-readable medium.
