Liquid pitcher including divided fluid filter for inlet and outlet filtering
A liquid (water) pitcher that includes a pitcher having a liquid receiving aperture configured to allow a liquid (water) to be delivered into an interior liquid storage volume defined by at least one upwardly extending wall extending upward from a base and a liquid (water) filter positioned within the pitcher that includes a filter housing and at least one gravity-driven fluid treatment medium within the filter housing where the filter housing has a plurality of fluid intake apertures and at least one treated fluid outlet configured to deliver treated fluid into an internal volume of a vessel wherein the at least one fluid filtering medium treats the liquid at a rate of at least about one liter per minute while removing at least chlorine odor and chlorine taste components from the liquid (water).
Cartridge-Based Water Filter
A fluid-filtering apparatus includes an upper cartridge and a lower cartridge. The upper cartridge includes a permeable fluid-filtering first tube that surrounds and extends along an axis and that defines a first-tube cavity. An axially-extending permeable fluid-filtering second tube is located within the first-tube cavity and defines a second-tube cavity. The lower cartridge includes an axially-extending impermeable third tube that defines a third cavity. An axially-extending permeable fluid-filtering fourth tube, of the lower cartridge, is located within the third cavity and defines a fourth-tube cavity. The upper and lower cartridges are coupled together and contained within an impermeable casing.
Enclosed Media Fluid Filtration Device
A filtration device comprising a media basket, a baseplate, and a canister. The media basket is affixed to the baseplate. The canister has a cavity therein and is detachably coupled with the baseplate to enclose the media basket. The media basket contains a porous filtration material that efficiently removes contaminants from liquid. The device is configured to establish a first siphon to convey liquid from outside the device into the canister cavity through a canister pipe when a liquid level outside the filtration device is higher than the top of the weir in the canister pipe and configured to establish a second siphon to convey liquid from canister cavity through the top of a center riser pipe and out an outlet pipe when the first siphon has been established and the liquid level outside the filtration device is higher than the top of the center riser pipe.

A gravity-based filter cartridge having a cup-shaped upper part and a cup-shaped lower part, the upper part having a main axis (X), a first rim at a first axial end, a hole-free section at a second axial end, and at least one water inlet between the hole-free section and the first rim, the lower part having a second rim and at least one water outlet, wherein filter media is arranged in the lower part, the filter cartridge further including a mesh fixated to the upper part along a closed path, wherein the mesh is further fixated to the hole-free section radially inwards of the closed path as well as a method for manufacturing the same.

Lightweight fibrous media (LFM) filter
A filtration system using lightweight fibrous media (LFM) filter balls that are pre-compressed into an intermediary vessel or element before placing into an outer pressure-holding housing and where the LFM filter balls can be removed periodically to allow separation and relaxation of the media for cleaning. A plurality of lightweight fibrous media balls is pre-compressed at a predetermined ratio of compression and packing density inside their intermediary vessel or element before installation into an outer housing capable of holding pressures of a water flow, thereby forming a single filter mass providing multitudes of tortuous paths through which water can flow and the filter media can capture small particulate matter to reduce turbidity and other water-borne particulate contaminants.
