The present invention is a pipette-filtration assembly having a main body defining a first channel, a second channel, a first valve, and a second valve. The first valve is associated with the first channel and permits flow in a first direction while substantially hindering flow in a second direction. The second valve is associated with the second channel and permits flow in the second direction while substantially hindering flow in the first direction. At least one filter is used to filter a fluid sample as the fluid sample flows in the first direction and/or the second direction. The pipette-filtration assembly is preferably disposable and includes one or two stages of integral filtration, primarily for use with an air-displacement pipetting or transfer system.

ELECTRONIC SENSOR HAVING ELECTRICAL CONTACTS FOR DIRECT MONITORING OF FILTER MEDIA WITHIN A FILTRATION SYSTEM

In general, techniques are described for filter media monitoring within a filtration system. The filter media monitoring techniques described herein include, for example, direct contact with the filter media, e.g., a sensor may be located inside a boundary defined by a surface of the filter media, or indirect contact with the filter media, e.g., a sensor may be located outside the boundary defined by the surface of the filter media such that the sensor does not make direct physical contact with the filter media being monitored.

CONNECTION-FREE FILTER CAPSULE APPARATUS

Disclosed are capsule/tube connector/tube assemblies that eliminate a connection point in a filter capsule apparatus. A relatively soft tube is thermally or sonically bonded to a relatively hard tube connector that may have a tube receiving bore, a frustoconical tube receiving channel or a straight tube receiving channel. The tube connector is bonded to a filter capsule port. The manufacturing process can be either a one-step process bonding the tube and capsule during formation of the tube connector in one step, or a two-step process that binds the tube to the tube connector in one step and binds the tube connector to a filter capsule port in a second step. Single and dual-walled tubes may be used as well as single and dual-walled tubes having reinforcing material superposed about or embedded in the tube wall(s). A tube support collar is also disclosed. Also disclosed are capsule port/tube connector/tube combinations in which capsule port tips and tube connectors are combined to create tube-receiving gaps or channels to secure a tube to a capsule assembly. Multiple capsule/tube connector/tube assemblies may be connected to form a filter train.

WATER PURIFIER

The present application discloses a water purifier, which comprises a composite water path structure; a filter cartridge; a universal direction water outlet structure; a housing; a sliding module; and a locking module; a plurality of flow meters; and a controller. The water purifier provided by the present invention has its water path structure, filter cartridge, water outlet structure, housing, way for replacing the filter cartridge as well as way for detecting service life of the filter cartridge improved, to obtain significantly improved working and using effects.

Filter element

A filter element for filtering a fluid is provided with a housing and a filter body arranged in the housing. A cover closes off one end of the housing. An inlet is arranged on the cover at a raw side of the filter element for inflow of a fluid into the filter element. An outlet is arranged on the cover at a clean side of the filter element for discharge of the fluid from the filter element. The cover has a connecting area connecting the filter element with a counter element of a filter system. The cover has a sealing area that seals between the filter element and a receptacle of the filter system. A seal is disposed in the sealing area and has two separate sealing surfaces that effect a sealing action in the connecting area in axial direction and in radial direction of the filter element.

An oil filter assembly is disclosed for a machine, such as an internal combustion engine, that has an oil output port and an oil input port. A mounting plate is fixed with an outer enclosure. The mounting plate is further adapted to conduct oil from the machine into a peripheral portion of the outer enclosure, and then returning oil from a central portion of the outer enclosure back to the machine. Oil may pass from the peripheral portion to the central portion through a primary filter having a first porosity. A pressure-actuated valve is fixed fluidly between the portions of the outer enclosure.

A valve includes a deformable portion connected to a rigid portion. A portion of a surface of a frustoconical body of the rigid portion is disposed adjacent a portion of a surface of a frustoconical body of the deformable portion. A portion of a surface of an upper axially-extending portion of the rigid portion is disposed adjacent a portion of a surface of an upper axially-extending portion of the deformable portion. A portion of the surface of the frustoconical body of the deformable portion that is not disposed adjacent a portion of the surface of the frustoconical body of the rigid portion defines a circumferential void. The circumferential void is in fluid communication with a plurality of upstream radial bypass passages extending through the frustoconical body of the rigid portion.
