Bypass filter method and device
The present invention relates to a method for converting a full flow oil and/or fuel filter system into a bypass filter system comprising the use of a retro-fittable bypass filter configured to directly replace the pre-existing full flow filter, without the need for additional hoses or mounts etc. as in existing methods. Also described is a filter device for converting a full flow oil and/or fuel filter system into a bypass filter system comprising: an inlet for allowing fluid into the filter; a plurality of screens for filtering particles from the fluid; a cellulose element for filtering moisture from the fluid; an outlet for allowing fluid out of the filter; and a bypass for fluid to bypass the cellulose element and at least one screen and exit the filter, wherein the bypass filter is configured to directly replace the pre-existing full flow filter.
Filter Systems and Related Methods
Filter systems disclosed herein collapse for storage purposes and include mechanisms to continuously fill an upper chamber, allowing it to be smaller and to include more filters. A UVC light in a lower chamber sanitizes water entering therein. Water entering the lower chamber may pass through a quartz tube near the UVC light for sufficient exposure. The UVC light may be cycled between shorter periods of higher intensity and longer periods of lower intensity. A low power source such as a small solar array and/or battery may power the UVC light. A proximity switch may control the UVC light by providing power to the light only when the upper chamber is engaged with the lower chamber which may protect the user from exposure to the UVC light. Sealing mechanisms between the upper and lower chambers, as well as tote mechanisms and an alternative bucket filter system are disclosed.

The invention also relates to a head of a water- treatment device for use with a water-treatment cartridge (3). In addition, the invention relates to a water-treatment device comprising a head and a water-treatment cartridge (3).
A zone cartridge for water treatment for a zone device for water treatment, a head of a zone device for water treatment and a zone device for water treatment comprising such a cartridge and such a head
A zone water-treatment cartridge (3) for a water-treatment device, wherein the device comprises a head comprising a port for feeding water for treatment to the cartridge (3) and a port for discharging water from the cartridge after treatment. The zone water-treatment cartridge (3) comprises a first inlet channel (6) and a second inlet channel (7) for feeding water for treatment to the cartridge (3), configured to form a fluid communication with the port of the head for feeding water to the water-treatment cartridge (3), and an outlet channel for discharging water after treatment from the cartridge (3), configured to form a fluid communication with the port for discharging water after treatment from the cartridge (3), a first water-treatment zone, which is in a fluid communication with the first inlet channel (6), a second water-treatment zone, which is in a fluid communication with the second inlet channel (7), the first water-treatment zone and the outlet channel, respectively. The zone water-treatment cartridge (3) comprises orienting means (11) configured to establish a flow of water for treatment from the port of the head for feeding water for treatment through at least one of the fist inlet channel (6) and the second inlet channel (7) by rotation of the zone water-treatment cartridge (3) in the head of the zone water-treatment device. The invention also relates to the head of a zone water-treatment device for use with a zone water-treatment cartridge and to a zone water-treatment device comprising a head and a zone water-treatment cartridge.
Method and Device for Removing Particles from Waste Water
Filter and method for filtering solve problem of filtering of microfibers. The filter is specifically designed for efficient removal of microfibers from fluids including wastewater such as is emitted by washing machines and clothes dryers in their normal mode of operation. The filter and filtering method hereby disclosed is characterized by the possibility to insert the filtering device directly into existing washing machines without the need for modifications. The filer has a form that allows its direct insertion into an existing void in the washing machine that is connected or an integral part of the drain pump.
Bypass and Full Flow Combination Filter
The present invention relates to a filter for filtration of oil and/or fuel comprising a combination of a bypass filter portion and a full flow filter portion. The present invention also relates to a method of using the filter for filtration of oil and/or fuel to remove the water/moisture and particulate contaminants therein.
DISPOSABLE FILTER CAPSULE FOR A FILTRATION DEVICE
A disposable filter capsule for a filtration device comprises only one housing, which has an inflow connection for a fluid to be filtered and an outflow connection for filtrate. The disposable filter capsule also comprises at least two separate filter means, which are fixed in the housing and together with the housing form an inseparable structural unit.
