A customizable multi-stage fluid treatment assembly typically includes a connector, a plurality of cartridges, and a cap. The plurality of cartridges have a treatment medium spaced within an interior volume of the individual cartridges, between the ends thereof. The ends of the plurality of cartridges are configured to receive a fluid, bring the fluid into operative contact with the treatment medium, and dispense the fluid from the opposing end of the cartridge. The connector is coupled with one end of the plurality of cartridges and has an inlet and an outlet for receiving and dispensing the fluid to and from an appliance. The cap is coupled with the other end of the plurality of cartridges, enclosing the fluid treatment assembly, which is configured to be received in a cavity of an appliance. The cartridges of the plurality of cartridges may be individually replaced with cartridges to meet customized needs.

A disposable filter for filtering a working fluid including a housing having an inlet to be disposed in fluid communication with a working fluid and an outlet to be disposed in fluid communication with a machine. A filter media is disposed within the housing for filtering the working fluid passing through the disposable filter between the inlet and outlet. At least one accessory port is positioned adjacent to and fluidly connected to at least one of the inlet and the outlet for receiving an accessory for monitoring a characteristic of the working fluid passing through the inlet or the outlet of the disposable filter and/or an operational condition of the disposable filter or associated machinery.

A disposable filter for filtering a working fluid including a housing having an inlet to be disposed in fluid communication with a working fluid and an outlet to be disposed in fluid communication with a machine. A filter media is disposed within the housing for filtering the working fluid passing through the disposable filter between the inlet and outlet. A filter system for filtering a working fluid including a disposable filter having an inlet to be disposed in fluid communication with a working fluid and an outlet to be disposed in fluid communication with a machine. The disposable filter includes a sensor assembly or accessory for monitoring a characteristic of the working fluid passing through the disposable filter and/or an operational condition of the disposable filter. The disposable filter includes a communication module for communicating the monitored characteristic or operational condition to a controller. The controller is configured to analyze the received information and generate an optimal maintenance schedule and predicted remaining useful life of the machine, disposable filter, or working fluid. A method of operating the filter system is also provided.

A disposable filter including an integrated sensor is provided for filtering a working fluid and monitoring the working fluid and/or the performance of the filter. The filter includes a housing with an inlet and an outlet with filter media disposed within the housing in a flow path defined between the inlet and the outlet. The integrated sensor is disposed within the housing, where the integrated sensor monitors a characteristic of the working fluid or other performance characteristic of the filter. The sensor assembly may include a communication module. The sensor assembly may include a RF tank circuit with a capacitor plate, which may be disposed adjacent a bypass structure that is disposed adjacent the outlet. Movement of a moveable part of the bypass structure in response to a pressure buildup will cause a shift in a resonant frequency of the tank circuit.

A filter element, for use filtering liquids such as fuel, includes a first section of filter media, an optional layer of coalescer media, and a section of barrier media. The first section and optional coalescer filter media are held between opposite first and second end caps. The second end cap is integrated with the barrier filter media. The barrier media extends at least part way into an interior of the first section and can be conical in shape.

A wedge shaped filter element for use with a variety of fluids and fluid mixtures is disclosed. Greater in filtration efficiency is provided due to increased filter media and compact arrangement that can be provided with a plurality of filter elements in filter housing. The wedge shaped filter elements can be used for filtration, coalescing fluids and separation of gas from liquid.

The disclosure pertains to a spin-on fluid treatment device, including a treatment medium disposed within a housing, a top surface having an internally threaded bore and an outlet tube at least partially disposed inside said threaded bore in a concentric position. The outlet tube can have an externally oriented sealing portion for engaging with a complementary element of an inlet spud of an entity that receives said treated fluids. The outlet tube can be configured as an alignment feature to guide the treatment device onto the inlet spud during installation. The outlet tube can be configured with both an externally oriented sealing portion and an alignment feature. The disclosure also pertains to a system comprising a machine having a treatment device head and a spin-on fluid treatment device, a kit, a spin-on fluid filter cartridge, and a method of mounting a spin-on filter cartridge onto a filter head.

A fuel filter for a vehicle may include an upper case with a fuel inlet at a first side; a lower case provided in a structure having a fuel outlet and bonded to a second side of the upper case; and a main filter disposed in an inner space by bonding the upper case and the lower case and filtering fuel, wherein a first auxiliary filter assembly filtering the fuel toward an inner diameter of the main filter is mounted on a first surface of the main filter and a second auxiliary filter assembly filtering the fuel toward a second surface of the main filter is mounted on the second surface of the main filter.
