The base layer has a suction port for drawing-in liquid through the liquid purification element. A system and method for positioning a pill to be ingested by a user in a field of view of an image acquisition camera. The method includes the steps of determining a desired location of the mouth of a user in a field of view of an image acquisition camera, determining a current position of a pill to be ingested by the user in the field of view of the image acquisition apparatus, and indicating on a display a movement to be made by the user to move the pill towards mouth of the user.

A fin assembly apparatus which comprising a product dispensing stand for supporting a fabric product, a movable fin insertion apparatus for overlapping the fabric product and forming a fin opening, a movable fin sandwiching apparatus for forming a fin member, a pair of spaced apart guide tracks for supporting the movable fin sandwiching apparatus and the movable fin insertion apparatus, and a control panel for controlling operation of the fin assembly apparatus during manufacture of the fin member.

According to some aspects, a method is provided of removing debris from a liquid photopolymer in an additive fabrication device. According to some embodiments, a mesh of solid material may be formed in an additive fabrication device from a liquid photopolymer, and particles of debris present in the liquid photopolymer may adhere to the mesh. The debris may thereby be removed from the liquid photopolymer by removing the mesh from the additive fabrication device. The mesh may then be discarded.

An exemplary method includes forming a sacrificial layer along sidewalls of an array of trenches that are indented into a substrate, depositing a fill layer over the sacrificial layer, and then creating an array of gaps between the fill layer and the substrate by removing the sacrificial layer along the sidewalls of the trenches, while maintaining a structural connection between the substrate and the fill layer at the floors of the trenches. The method further includes covering the substrate, the fill layer, and the gaps with a cap layer that seal fluid-tight against the substrate and the fill layer. The method further includes indenting a first reservoir and a second reservoir through the cap layer, and into the substrate and the fill layer, across the lengths of the array of gaps, so that the array of gaps connects the first reservoir in fluid communication with the second reservoir.

A filter apparatus includes: a housing having an inlet for supplying sewage or waste water into the housing, and an outlet for discharging purified water from the housing; and filter media arranged inside the housing. Each of the filter media includes: a porous substrate; a nanofiber web laminated on both surfaces of the porous substrate; and a fuse reinforcement material interposed between the nanofiber web and the porous substrate. The porous substrate is surrounded by the nanofiber web except for an upper edge of the porous substrate to form a protruding portion. The apparatus further includes: a discharge pipe connected to the outlet and including a fixing portion fixed to the protruding portion of the porous substrate and a connection tube connected to the fixing portion and connected to the outlet; and a pump connected to the outlet for pumping the purified water out of the housing.
