According to some embodiments, the container is in ambient conditions, and the processing in the container includes non-ambient conditions. Optionally, the non-ambient conditions include an atmosphere having at most 18% of O.sub.2. Optionally, the method includes adding a liquid into the container, the liquid including a preservative material. Optionally, the liquid includes between 10% to 30% glycerol by volume. Optionally, the method includes sealing the container with a sealing lid after the introducing, and processing the fecal materials in the sealed container. Optionally, the processing of the fecal materials includes cutting the fecal materials by a cutting element to increase an exposed surface area of the fecal materials.

RACK FOR A FILTRATION DEVICE
A rack for a diagnostic robot with at least one support for at least one container; at least one gas-outlet to supply the at least one container with a gas at a predefined but individually adjustable pressure level; a first gas pump to generate a gas at a predefined super-atmospheric pressure level; a second gas pump to generate a gas at a pre-defined sub-atmospheric pressure level; a first tubing system attached to the first gas pump and holding the gas generated by the first gas pump; a second tubing system attached to the second gas pump and holding the gas generated by the second gas pump; and at least one tube bridge, wherein one end of the bridge connects via a first valve into the first tubing system and the other end of the bridge connects via a second valve into the second tubing system, and wherein the at least one gas-outlet is connected to the center of the bridge.
PROCESS MONITORING AND CONTROL OF FILTRATION BY MEANS OF FILTRATE MEASUREMENTS
The invention relates to solutions for the monitoring, process control and supervision of a solid filtration, particularly the washing process of said solid in a filtration system, and particularly to a method for monitoring and controlling a process for filtering and washing a solid in a filtration device for cake filtration, wherein at least one measuring device is applied in or to the filtrate outlet of the filtration device, which measures the at least one parameter value of a filtrate flow from the filtration device for cake filtration at least during the washing process.

Apparatus for the transfer and preservation of juices
An apparatus with a two vents funnel for the transfer and preservation of juices comprising removable vents and outlet extensions at the funnel base; an asymmetrical funnel bowl separated into a main and an overflow chamber, with a pouring lip and its narrow end; a purposefully narrow funnel outlet, with its extension reaching the container's wall during transfer; its seal at the funnel's base with a stop ring; a mesh filter which can be fitted onto the funnel's bowl; and a stand, with an anti-drop plate at its base, which can hold the funnel whereby a user can do the precise transfer of a juice into a receiving container using the seal's stop ring for horizontal alignment and the overflow chamber filling as a clear indication as to when the transfer is complete, this transfer is made bubble-free having the outlet purposely slowing down the flow while at the same time releasing the juice close to the container's inner wall, thus enabling said juice long-term preservation, any leftover into the overflow chamber being easily evacuated through the bowl's narrow end equipped with a pouring lip, and any juice impurities being separated during transfer with the fitted mesh filter, and different receiving containers shape being allowed by simply replacing the extensions and the funnel being cleanly stored away on its stand after use and any drops being then collected by the plate.

Multipurpose disposable filtering funnel
A filtering funnel assembly has an outer body having a plurality of panels. A first one of the panels is joinable to a second one of the panels to define a funnel. Each of the plurality of panels including a top edge and a bottom edge, the top edges define a funnel inlet and the bottom edges define a funnel outlet. A liner is nestable within the funnel, the liner has a top portion forming an opening and a bottom portion. A portion of the liner is configured to attach to a portion of the funnel. The liner nested within the outer body enables a fluid to enter the fluid inlet of the funnel and the fluid inlet of the filter liner and to pass through the bottom portion of the filter liner and the fluid outlet of the funnel.

LIQUID FILTERING SYSTEM
A filtering system (10) includes a filtering apparatus having a filter unit for receiving liquid to be filtered, a receptacle for receiving filtered liquid, and an adapter (14) for coupling the filter unit to the receptacle, and also includes a base (12) having a cradle (26) for receiving the filtering apparatus and a base vacuum delivery port (28). The adapter includes an adapter vacuum receiving port (22) coupled to the vacuum delivery port for driving the liquid through the filter and—as filtered liquid—into the receptacle. The cradle and the adapter have an interlocking mechanism (52, 54) that locks the filtering apparatus to the cradle in a locking position in which the vacuum receiving port is sealingly coupled to the base vacuum delivery port. The base vacuum delivery port has a vacuum valve (30) constituted as a normally-closed valve automatically forced open when the filtering apparatus locks to the cradle.
