WATER CONTAINER WITH FLOATABLE FILTER SYSTEM AND METHOD
A portable drinking water filter system, such as a pitcher, having a sleeve and a floatable body including a filter opening configured to receive a water filter, the floatable body having a seal extending outward from an outer surface of the floatable body. The floatable body is disposed in a sleeve cavity such that a body seal engages the sidewall and restricts water from passing between the floatable body and the sidewall. The seal is configured to create friction with the sidewall, wherein the friction created when the floatable body rises in the sleeve is different than when the floatable body lowers in the sleeve. The friction created when the floatable body rises in the sleeve is greater than when the floatable body lowers in the sleeve, allowing the floatable body to auto-retract toward a cavity base without burping.
FILTER DEVICE FOR CAPTURING TARGET CELL AND TARGET CELL COLLECTING METHOD USING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a filter device for capturing a target cell and a target cell collecting method using the same. A filter substrate by which a target cell is captured is formed of an elastic material. When blood passes, the size of a lattice hole of the filter substrate by which the target cell is captured is reduced. When the blood completely passes, the size of the lattice hole of the filter substrate by which the target cell is captured is restored, so that a destruction rate of the target cell may be reduced and a collect rate of the target cell may be increased.
Filtration device and method
Embodiments of the present invention relate to a filtration device and method for filtering liquids. In conventional devices, a liquid is placed in a vial, and a plunger, having a filter membrane located at one end, is depressed into the vial, causing the liquid to pass through the filter membrane into the interior of the plunger, where it is stored until required for further processing. However, such plungers are typically made of a plastics material. It is undesirable to store the filtered liquid in contact with plastics for extended periods of time, as contaminants may leach from the plastics material into the sample. In embodiments of the present invention, a filtrate receptacle made from a different material to the plunger, such as a glass material, is located in the interior of the plunger and the filtered liquid collected in the filtrate receptacle after passing through the filter membrane. This allows the filtered liquid to be held isolated from the plastics material, thereby protecting it from contamination.

Extraction structure, extraction module, and liquid pretreatment device
Provided are an extraction structure, an extraction module, and a liquid pretreatment device relating to the liquid component testing technical field. The extraction structure comprises a cavity and a first pore passage. The extraction module comprises an extraction module body, successively bottom up, including a first cavity provided therein with a second filter layer, a first pore passage provided therein with a first filter layer, and a second cavity provided therein with an extractant layer and a porous filter disc; the first and second filter layers contain therein an expansive agent; and the diameter of the first filter layer is smaller than that of the second filter disc. The liquid pretreatment device comprises a storage tank, a transfer device and the extraction module. Between the transfer device and the extraction module is provided a filter membrane for filtering and supporting.
WATER FILTER SYSTEM
A water filter system comprising a container configured to contain water, a lid configured to attach to the container, a filter element configured to filter the water and movable within the container, and a plunger coupled to the filter element and movable through the lid. The water filter system is at least one of powered by a mechanical force directly from a user or self-powered and is not electrically powered.

CONNECTOR PIPE SCREEN
A frameless, modular connector pipe screen insert designed for installation within storm water infrastructure, including a catch basin, for the treatment of storm water by removing trash and debris from incoming water flow. The connector pipe screen is optimally designed with perforation sizes and void areas to remove trash and debris; thereby preventing further pollution of nearby water systems including rivers, lakes, and oceans.
Filtration container assemblies and methods
A movable seal for interfacing between a first surface and a second surface includes a floating portion attached to a non-floating portion by a flexible coupling portion, wherein the non-floating portion is coupled to the first surface by nesting in a groove on the first surface, and wherein the non-floating portion forms a seal between the first and second surfaces when the first surface moves relative to the second surface in a first direction, and wherein the non-floating portion does not form a seal between the first and second surfaces when the first surface moves relative to the second surface in a second opposite direction.
