The present technology is directed generally to fluid treatment systems. In particular, several embodiments are directed toward filter supports configured to be positioned adjacent a filter belt within a filter belt filtration system. In one embodiment, the filter support can have a longitudinal axis generally parallel to the direction of movement of the filter belt. The filter support can include a plurality of struts spaced apart by a plurality of openings, and at least one of the plurality of struts extends across a portion of the filter support such that a longitudinal axis of the at least one strut is positioned at an angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the filter support.

The present technology is directed to fluid filtration systems having enhanced momentum cleaning devices for filter belts and associated systems and methods. In some embodiments, for example, a filtering system includes a fluid channel having a continuous-loop filter belt positioned therein. The filter belt can be configured to trap contaminants while allowing fluid to pass through the filter belt. The system further includes a first cleaning device proximate to the filter belt and a second cleaning device proximate to the filter belt and downstream of the first cleaning device. In particular embodiments the first cleaning device is a scraping blade that presses against the filter belt and the second cleaning device is one of a wave form, vibrational, or mixed-phase stream energy delivery device.

Elongate structure

An endless elongate structure adapted to circulate around a path. The endless elongate structure comprises a central longitudinal portion and two lateral longitudinal portions on opposed sides of the central longitudinal portion for supporting the central longitudinal portion therebetween. The central longitudinal portion and two lateral longitudinal portions are connected together by joiners. The central longitudinal portion is adapted to be assembled into a movable tubular formation which is adapted to be continuously assembled at one end thereof and continuously disassembled at another end thereof during movement of the elongate structure along the path. The central longitudinal portion has two longitudinal edge sections adapted to be releasably connected together for assembling the tubular formation by a slidably interlocking connector. The slidably interlocking connector is integrated with the two longitudinal edge sections by joiners.

Vacuum box, belt filter, methods for servicing a vacuum belt filter, method for liquid-solid separation of a slurry, and filter element

A vacuum belt filter including a belt with a plurality of vacuum boxes, filter means being arranged to the vacuum boxes, drive means for moving the belt, and a suction station for creating an underpressure to the vacuum boxes at the suction station. In order to enable liquid-solid separation at low energy costs and long service interval of the vacuum belt filter, the filter means is in the form of a capillary filter, each vacuum box being provided with such a filter and each vacuum box being provided with an outlet having a check valve enabling a fluid flow from the inside space of the vacuum box to the outside of the vacuum box for creating an underpressure in the vacuum box when the suction station is connected to the vacuum box.
