Device, system and method for extracting and filtering a suspension, preferably containing plant constituents, by means of rotating filter elements
A device, system and method are for treating a suspension, containing plant constituents, in particular separating a liquid or a solid therefrom, in the field of production of food, pharmaceutical and luxury products, and to corresponding uses. The device for continuously or discontinuously treating a suspension, in particular for separating a liquid or liquid phase or a solid or a residual phase from the suspension includes: a receiving unit for receiving the suspension and at least one separating device having a surface having openings. The surface can be brought into contact with the suspension, if the suspension is present in the receiving unit for separation into the liquid phase and the solid phase. During the operation of the device, the surface is arranged such that it is moved or can be moved or can be rotated relative to the suspension, the solid phase and/or the receiving unit.
Separation apparatus
The present invention is to provide a separation apparatus for separating a liquid from a treated object containing the liquid in the course of a process of sending the treated object with each rotating plate being rotated, wherein efficient separation of the liquid from the treated object can be performed, while the rotating plates are efficiently prevented from getting damaged. The separation apparatus comprises a plurality of rotating shafts 9 formed in a lateral direction while being arranged in parallel in a longitudinal direction, a driving device 7 for rotationally driving each rotating shaft 9, and a plurality of rotating plates 12 mounted on each rotating shaft 9 in parallel in a lateral direction while being in such an attitude that their plate thickness direction is oriented in a direction along the lateral direction, wherein spaces S1, S2 through which the liquid contained in the treated object is allowed to drop are formed between the mutually adjacent rotating plates 12 in the lateral direction or those in the longitudinal direction, the rotating plates 12 are configured so as to periodically repeat a state of being projected upward and a state of being not projected upward, while being elastically deformable in a direction along said each rotating shaft 9.

Spinning crossflow filter
A rotatable filtration apparatus includes a partially submergible, rotatable filter in a shape of a torus having a central axis of rotation, the filter comprising an upper half and a lower half, with the lower half comprising a permeable membrane, the permeable membrane comprising at least one pore configured to pass a filtrate while excluding solids, a rotation motor configured to rotate the filter about the central axis of rotation, an anchor configured to anchor the rotatable filter in a body of liquid, and a pump to extract the filtrate from the filtrate chamber into a filtrate line.
LIQUID CARRIER FILTRATION
An filtration apparatus is disclosed. The filtration apparatus is to remove non-liquid contaminant from liquid carrier. The filtration apparatus may include an electrode having a first surface, wherein the electrode is to generate an electric field towards liquid carrier containing non-liquid contaminant. The filtration apparatus may include a reservoir having a wall defined at least partially by the first surface, the reservoir to house a volume of liquid carrier. The filtration apparatus may include a plurality of plates, each plate having an accumulation surface, wherein a portion of each plate is within the reservoir, so as to be submerged in the volume of liquid carrier. An electric field formed between the first surface and the accumulation surface of each plate of the plurality of plates may act on the liquid carrier, to thereby cause non-liquid contaminant to adhere to an accumulation surface of a plate of the plurality of plates. A method and a print apparatus are also disclosed.
Part separator cleaning apparatus
Embodiments herein relate to part separation and cleaning devices. In an embodiment, a part separation and cleaning apparatus is included having a liquid holding tub defining an interior volume. The liquid holding tub can include a bottom pan defining a center aperture and an outer perimeter, a perimeter wall attached to the bottom pan adjacent to the outer perimeter thereof and a center sleeve attached to the bottom pan over the central aperture and extending upward away from the bottom pan. The apparatus can further include a motor and a drive shaft. An indexing plate within the liquid holding tub can be connected to the drive shaft. The indexing plate can rotate and can include a plurality of discrete compartments. A control circuit can be configured to cause the drive unit to initiate an indexing movement in response to a received signal. Other embodiments are also included herein.
