The filter body may have a first side and a second side. A nanofibre layer may be disposed on the first side in at least one region. The nanofibre layer may be configured hydrophobic. According to an implementation, the nanofibre layer is treated to produce the hydrophobic property. The filter body may have a porosity on the first side that is smaller than on the second side.

A filter cartridge includes a threaded sleeve having a seal holder recess and seal member. The filter cartridge is for removably threading onto a filter head that includes threads for connection to the filter cartridge by way of the threaded sleeve. The filter head includes a ramp that engages the seal member to form a seal. The force needed to make the seal is a torque of less than 10 N-m.

An oil storage and filtration system for an engine unit includes an on/off valve that defines an operating phase when receiving supply air and in an on position and a standby phase when in an off position or not receiving the supply air. The system also includes a fill/drain valve that defines a drain state and a fill state which respectively correspond to emptying and filling oil from/into the engine unit. The system also includes a control valve, a pressure/vacuum valve, and a storage tank. The storage tank stores oil in a pressurized condition during the fill state, a vacuum condition during the drain state, and an atmospheric condition during the standby phase. The also includes a vacuum generator in fluid communication with the storage tank during the drain state and fluidly isolated from the storage tank during the fill state.

A system is provided for removing oil from an oil filter of a motor vehicle. The system includes a housing with a top rim, an upper portion, a lower portion, and a bottom rim. The top rim of the housing includes a first diameter. The housing includes the bottom rim with a second diameter that is less than the first diameter. The system also includes an upper cap with a flange including a first side and an opposing second side. The flange is disposed at a top portion of the upper cap. The first side of the flange is coupled to the top rim of the housing. A bottom portion of the upper cap extends into the housing. The upper cap includes a central aperture for draining the oil from the oil filter into the housing.

A filter assembly includes a filter head and filter cartridge. The filter cartridge includes a housing and element. The housing includes a can with an open mouth. An interface ring is secured to the can adjacent to the open mouth. The outer ring surface is against the inner wall of the can. The ring wall is angled between the first and second ends greater than one degree and less than 6 degrees. Methods of filtering and making the housing are provided.

Portable lubricant filtration tool and methods of use

There is disclosed a tool for filtering a lubricant to meet a target ISO cleanliness code. The tool includes a skid-mounted integrated filtration system having a pump that circulates a flow of lubricant from an inlet port, through a heater, through a series of specifically sized filters, and past a digital particle counter. The filtration system also includes a user interface and a programmable logic controller (PLC) configured to track outputs from the pump, the oil heater, and the particle counter to monitor a cleanliness of the circulating lubricant. The filtration system also includes a filtration operations server in communication with the PLC and configured to implement a tracking and monitoring software application enabling control of the filtration system from the system itself or remotely through one or more remote user terminals such as a smartphone, a laptop or tablet computer, and the like. A method and apparatus are provided for controlling a fuel delivery system to limit acidic corrosion. An exemplary control system includes a controller, at least one monitor, an output, and a remediation system. The monitor of the control system may collect and analyze data indicative of a corrosive environment in the fuel delivery system. The output of the control system may automatically warn an operator of the fueling station of the corrosive environment so that the operator can take preventative or corrective action. The remediation system of the control system may take at least one corrective action to remediate the corrosive environment in the fuel delivery system. One or more sensors may be employed to signal proper operation of the remediation system.

An oil filter assembly for a differential housing, including a filter housing for releasably mounting in a drive axle housing and defining an internal volume for containing oil to be filtered, a mounting arrangement for releasably securing the filter assembly to a drive axle housing, and a filter element for filtering particulate contaminants from oil in a drive axle. The filter housing includes an inlet on an upper portion thereof and an outlet on a lower portion thereof to define an flow path therethrough, and wherein the filter element is located downstream of the inlet.

A no filter no run bidirectional pin element is disclosed. A shell housing is removably coupled to a filtration housing, a removable no filter no run attachment, and a filter element. The filter element comprises a filtration media and a bidirectional pin element. The bidirectional pin element comprises a center tube formed as a single piece with a bidirectional pin. The installation of the filter element and the shell housing into the filtration system results in the bidirectional pin entering a pin aperture of the removable no filter no run attachment and the bidirectional pin preventing the operative engagement of a blocking element with a divider inside the no filter no run attachment.
