PIPELINE STRAINER WITH CLEANING TOOL

A pipeline strainer having a body with a straining element therein. A cleaning tool is disposed in the body to dislodge debris from the straining element. The debris may be removed from the body through a debris drain. The cleaning tool comprises a portion within the body and a portion outside of the body. A handle may comprise the portion outside of the body.

Sieve valves, microfluidic circuits, microfluidic devices, kits, and methods for isolating an analyte

The invention generally provides a sieve valve including: a substrate defining a channel; a flexible membrane adapted and configured for deployment at an intersection with the channel; and one or more protrusions extending into the channel from the substrate or the flexible membrane. The one or more protrusions define a plurality of recesses extending beyond the intersection between the channel and the flexible membrane; A microfluidic circuit including one or more sieve valves. In particular embodiments, the circuit comprises one or more input/output valves. The one or one or more input/output valves can include one or more input valves and one or more output valves. The microfluidic circuit can further include a mixing circuit. At least one of the sieve valves can be positioned between the one or more input/output valves and the mixing circuit. The invention further provides methods of using the device for the analysis of samples comprising cells.

Removable Catch Basin Filter Insert and Lifting Apparatus
20170284077 · 2017-10-05 ·

A removable catch basin filter insert includes a filter container is fitted into a catch basin in the ground at the location where the stormwater exits the gutter and enters the stormwater sewer system. The removable catch basin filter provides pollution capture from stormwater while being easily cleaned. A hinged cover is included at the top of the filter insert to allow the captured pollutants to be evacuated through the use of a vehicle or being tipped nearly upside down by a mechanical arm. A hinged trap door is included at the bottom of the filter insert to allow captured pollutants to be evacuated through the bottom of the device and into a container. By capturing the pollutants with the removable catch basin filter insert before the pollutants enter the mainline storm drain system, clean storm drain systems are provided allowing for cleaner waterways.

Rain Water Filter

A rain water filter is disclosed. The rain water filter includes a horizontal inlet and a horizontally arranged residual water outlet which are slightly offset in relation to each other. A pipe with a longitudinal slot connects to the inlet and the pipe leads into the residual water outlet. An adhesive filter which is in the form of a tunnel-shaped half-shell is arranged below the longitudinal slot, where the lateral walls are the filter surfaces of the filter. Due to the adhesion effect, the water which flows past is suctioned inwards where it passes through the longitudinal opening into a tank and from there, for example, into a cistern via a filter water outlet. The water running off from the side walls is collected on the base of the hollow cylinder and from there is guided to the residual water outlet.

Filter Systems and Related Methods

A water filter system includes an upper chamber removably coupled with a lower chamber. In implementations the lower chamber has a sidewall and a rim wider than the sidewall. A filter medium filters water from the upper to the lower chamber. A seal couples between the chambers and has a circular cross-section and a gap receiving a portion of the sidewall. The seal may also have a cavity receiving the rim. The seal includes one or more arced flaps contacting the upper chamber, a tip of each arced flap defining a circular inner opening of the seal. The seal includes one or more first barbs contacting the upper chamber, each first barb forming a circle. The seal includes one or more second barbs contacting the lower chamber, each second barb forming a circle.

POWER STEERING FLUID FILTER ASSEMBLY
20220048562 · 2022-02-17 ·

A power steering fluid filter assembly having a housing defining an interior chamber, an upstream end and downstream end. The housing is substantially cylindrical having a substantially circular cross-section and longitudinal axis and at least one filter element through which fluid flowing through said housing passes. A plurality of inlet nozzles, each of which are selectively removable at the upstream end of the housing, the inlet nozzles having commonly sized cylindrical protrusions for fitting within the housing and differentially sized hose barbs for fitting within differentially sized hoses feeding power steering fluid to the housing. A plurality of outlet nozzles each of which are selectively removable at the downstream end of the housing, the outlet nozzles having commonly sized cylindrical protrusions for fitting within the housing and differentially sized hose barbs for fitting within differentially sized hoses through which power steering fluid exiting the housing passes. The inlet and outlet nozzles are releasably retained at the ends of the housing by, for example, removable clips, threads, or snap rings.
