Apparatus and method for removing debris from water management systems
11236499 · 2022-02-01 ·

The present invention is directed to a debris catching and removing apparatus and method. For example, bar screens or grids for collecting and removing trash or debris from storm, waste water, or sewage systems, and mounting systems and methods therefore are provided. These apparatus and method may provide a long-lasting, light-weight, and low-cost debris screen screening solutions for removing trash or debris from, for example, storm, waste water, or sewage systems. The invention may be particularly applicable to small lift stations that use submersible pumps or surface mounted pumps that suction waste water from a wet well.

Longitudinally Offset Partial Area Screens for Well Assembly
20170218735 · 2017-08-03 · ·

A downhole assembly can include screens along a length of a tubular member. Screens covering differing portions of a cross-sectional area of the tubular and less than an entirety of the cross-sectional area can be offset from one another along a length of the tubular. Fluid flowing through an area not covered by a first screen can encounter an area covered by an offset screen. If the offset screen is blocked with accumulated debris, fluid may pass the offset screen by passing through an area not covered by the offset screen.

INLINE INSERT MOLDED FILTER ASSEMBLY
20170216742 · 2017-08-03 ·

A filter assembly includes a filter housing configured as a singular unitary component defining a fluid flow passage through the filter assembly. A filter element is fixed within the housing and spaced apart from both ends of the filter housing to filter a fluid as the fluid flows through the filter housing. A method of insert molding a filter assembly includes providing a mold shaped to form the filter housing as a singular unitary component, locating a filter element in the mold at a location corresponding to where the filter element is to be fixed within the filter housing, and injection molding a molten plastic filter housing material around the filter element such that a portion of the filter element is encapsulated by the molten plastic filter housing material to form the filter housing in a manner that bonds the filter element in place within the filter housing. The filter assembly alternatively may be made by 3D printing the filter housing around the filter element.

HYDROSTATIC TANK FLOOR RELIEF VALVE
20170219110 · 2017-08-03 ·

A hydrostatic tank floor relief valve of a construction described herein provides for equalization of hydrostatic pressure of fluid in a storage tank with hydrostatic pressure of ground water surrounding the storage tank. A high efficiency grate located in a flow channel of the hydrostatic tank floor relief valve blocks debris from entering the storage tank during pressure equalization, yet does not reduce effective flow rates through a flow channel of a given diameter. The hydrostatic tank floor relief valve optionally includes an elastomeric seal surface and a stainless steel seat ring that reduce the likelihood of particulate matter disrupting valve operation, and provide a more reliable seal.
