Float assembly can be mounted to a fixed structure at the water body and includes a basket supported by a pair of floats buoyant in water. The basket includes a pump housed in a perforated housing, wherein the pump can be operated to suck water through the inlet also carrying the debris into the basket. The debris of a suitable size can be retained in the basket while the water is pumped out through an outlet. The basket can be switched from an operating state i.e., submerged in water to a stowed state outside the water upon the fixed structure.

The friction created when the floatable body rises in the sleeve is greater than when the floatable body lowers in the sleeve, allowing the floatable body to auto-retract toward a cavity base without burping.

Expandable water filter reservoir

A water filtering pitcher with a pitcher with a top, a base and an inner wall surface extending between the top and the base to define an internal volume. A filter adapter is positioned within the internal volume of the pitcher, configured to couple to a water filter, and movable between a first position closer to the base and a second position closer to the top. At least one bias member configured to bias the filter upward is positioned between the filter adapter and the pitcher base. When a water filter is received through the top of the pitcher to the filter adapter and water is filtered from above the filter adapter through the water filter and into the base of the pitcher, the at least one bias member biases the filter adapter and water filter from the first position toward the second position.
