Device for Separating Debris From a Fluid
20220161159 · 2022-05-26 ·

The present invention relates to a filter device for separating debris from a fluid. The filter device includes a housing having at least one inlet, at least one first outlet, and a second outlet. The filter device further includes a filter cartridge that allows fluid to pass therethrough but prevents passage of debris therethrough. The filter cartridge is positioned within the housing so as to define an upper chamber and a lower chamber within the housing. The at least one inlet is positioned so as to allow contaminated fluid to enter the lower chamber of the housing. Fluid must pass through the filter cartridge in an upward direction to reach the upper chamber, and the first outlet is positioned so as to allow filtered fluid to exit the upper chamber. The second outlet is positioned to allow debris accumulated within the lower chamber to be discharged.

FILTER ELEMENT, FILTER HEAD, AND FILTER SYSTEM

A filter element for releasable connection with a filter head a first end cap defining a first open aperture; a tubular construction of filter media being secured to the first end cap; and an axially extending neck, surrounding the first open aperture, having, an outer radial surface and an inner radial surface. The filter element includes a first linear to rotary motion conversion element, arranged to engage with a second linear to rotary motion conversion element on a valve element of the filter head so as to impart, when the filter element is moved linearly towards the valve element in a direction along a longitudinal axis, a rotational movement onto the valve element.

FILTRATION SYSTEM

A filtration system for a fuel system for a marine vessel engine. The system comprising: an inlet for fluid connection to a settling tank; an outlet for fluid connection to a service tank; and an arrangement of plural primary filtration devices The arrangement is fluidly connected between the inlet and outlet so that fuel flowing from the settling tank via the inlet to the service tank via the outlet passes through at least one of the primary filtration devices. The system is configured so that each respective primary filtration device operates, independently of each other primary filtration device in: a first mode, in which the fuel flows in a first direction through a filter of the respective primary filtration device to remove contaminants from the fuel, or a second mode, in which a fluid flows through the filter in a second direction, opposite the first direction, to dislodge the contaminants.

A fluid filter system with auto-drain capabilities. The fluid filter system includes at least one filter, a vent check valve, a filter outlet check valve, an openable valve, a drain pump and a drain pump check valve. The filter includes a filter head having an inlet, an outlet and a drain outlet, a removable filter element, and a suction tube in fluid communication with the drain outlet and extending into the removable filter element. The vent check valve has an inlet exposed to atmosphere and an outlet in fluid communication with an interior volume of the filter. The filter outlet check valve has an outlet and an inlet in fluid communication with the outlet of at least one filter head.

Fuel filter and mounting support of which the outlet is sealed by a valve in case of removal of a filter insert

The fuel filter has an outlet for the filtered fuel in a lower base portion of a casing, and a valve associated with the outlet. The filter insert has an internal space in which filtered fuel flows and that accommodates a central member capable of moving the valve to an open position when the insert is in an operational configuration in the casing. The valve is urged, by default, to a sealed position cutting off the flow to the outlet, for example by resilient return arranged between the bottom of the filter and a wall of an interface that guides the lower end of the central member. The central member and the filter insert form a removable unit, and it is therefore possible, typically by way of a cover/removable unit fastening, to automatically obtain the sealed position after opening the top cover.

Disclosed is a filter device having a filter housing (10) that comprises at least two ports (12, 14), such as an inlet for unfiltered matter and an outlet for filtrate, and accommodates a replaceable filter element (16), which is characterized in that by a shut-off device (18) a fluid-conveying connection between the inlet (12) and the outlet (14) that exists in an open position, is blocked in a blocking position, and in that by an actuation device (20) the shut-off device (18) can be brought into these individual positions.

FILTER ELEMENT WITH AN ANNULAR SEAL HAVING A POSITIONING AND SEALING SECTION WITH CONCENTRIC ANNULAR SEAL RINGS FORMING A SEALING GROOVE

A filter element for exchangeable installation into a filter housing has an annular filter medium with an annular seal secured directly or indirectly onto the first axial end. The annular seal having a positioning and sealing section and concentric annular sealing rings between which a sealing groove is formed. A radially outer side of the radially outer annular ring having a key locking system formed by a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart radial projections, spaced apart by radial indentations, adapted to positively engage cooperative configured geometries or key locking features of a filter housing when in an installed state, thereby locking a rotational orientation and position of the filter element.
