SEPARATION APPARATUS AND METHOD
An apparatus for performing an operation on a fluid material to separate liquid from solid matter within the fluid material The apparatus comprises a belt structure movable along a path. The belt structure comprises a belt portion adapted to be assembled into a movable tubular structure within which at least part of the operation is to be performed. The tubular structure is permeable to liquid for separation of liquid from solid matter within the fluid material. The tubular structure is continuously assembled at one end thereof and continuously disassembled at another end thereof during movement of the belt structure. The path includes a descending portion along which the assembled tubular structure passes, the descending portion being inclined whereby at least some of the solid matter within fluid material in the tubular structure is caused to move downwardly along the descending portion under the influence of gravity to facilitate cleaning of the permeable tubular structure.

SUSPENDED-MATTER REMOVING METHOD AND SUSPENDED-MATTER REMOVING APPARATUS
A suspended-matter removing method and a suspended-matter removing apparatus are disclosed which require no sludge treatment facility, and inexpensively provide filtrate satisfying a water quality standard. The method includes: feeding a protrusion element to a filter layer formed by filling a solid filter material, adding a protrusion to a surface of the solid filter material; after feeding of the protrusion element, determining whether or not a protrusion satisfying a preset standard has been added to the surface of the solid filter material, and when it is determined that the protrusion has been added, reducing a feeding amount of the protrusion element as compared with when adding the protrusion; and passing water to be treated containing suspended matters through the filter layer having the solid filter material added with the protrusion in a state in which the feeding amount of the protrusion element is reduced.

SUSPENDED-MATTER REMOVING METHOD UTILIZING BIOFILM AND SUSPENDED-MATTER REMOVING APPARATUS UTILIZING BIOFILM
A suspended-matter removing method and a suspended-matter removing apparatus are disclosed that require no sludge treatment facility, and inexpensively provide filtrate satisfying a water quality standard. The suspended-matter removing method includes: feeding a protrusion element to a filter layer formed by filling a solid filter material, adding a protrusion to a surface of the solid filter material; after feeding protrusion element, determining whether a protrusion has been added to the surface of the solid filter material, and when it is determined that the protrusion has been added, reducing a feeding amount of the protrusion element as compared with when adding the protrusion; forming a biofilm on the surface of the solid filter material; and passing water to be treated containing suspended matters through the filter layer having the solid filter material added with the protrusion in a state in which the feeding amount of the protrusion element is reduced.
Centrifugal screen apparatus
Screening apparatus includes a driving a shaft (12) into a screen housing (13) having a removable closure (14) and dividing wall (15) forming an underflow chamber (16) and an overflow chamber (17). The shaft (12) supports and drives an screen (21) comprising a plate steel basket carrier portion (22) axially spaced from intermediate ring frames (23) and an outer frame ring and flange (24), all interconnected by circumferentially spaced stringers (25) to form an all-welded, integral, generally truncated-conical screen (21) cage. The cage supports a wedge wire screening surface (26). The closure (14) and housing (13) mutually support an inlet assembly (27) comprising a chute (32) feeding the water and coarse coal to the inner end of the screen assembly (21). The integral, all welded screen (21) may be replaced as a unit without refurbishment.
FILTERING APPARATUS, SPRINKLING APPARATUS INCLUDING THE FILTERING APPARATUS, AND FILTERING METHOD
The present invention provides a filtering apparatus, a sprinkling apparatus using the filtering apparatus, and a filtering method. The filtering apparatus includes a liquid passage chamber, a drainage chamber, and a recirculation chamber. The sprinkling apparatus further includes a jetting section. The filtering method includes the steps of closing a liquid passage hole, filtering a liquid, and flowing the liquid in to a compartment chamber while discharging filter residue.
Collapsible water filter
A collapsible water filter has a telescopic container and a filter cartridge. The telescopic container has a telescopic segment and a connection segment, and the telescopic segment having a first end and a second end opposite to the first end. The telescopic segment defines a holding space, and the holding space has a first opening adjacent to the first end of the telescopic segment. When the first end and the second end of the telescopic segment are under a force such that the first end and the second end approach each other, the volume of the holding space is reduced. When the first end and the second end of the telescopic segment are under a force such that the first end and the second end move away from each other, the volume of the holding space is increased.
