In certain embodiments, a system filter has a hollow, perforated, inner structure inside a hollow, perforated, outer structure that define an annular gap that receives granular filtering media retained by an (optional) media liner. An outer filter surrounds the outer structure. An (electric) pump may be located within the inner cavity of the inner structure or external to the system filter. When deployed in an underground vault, vault water flows through the outer filter, the outer structure, the outer portion of the media liner (if present), the filtering media, the inner portion of the media liner (if present), and the inner structure into the inner cavity from where the pump moves the filtered water out of the vault. The outer filter and/or the media liner may have a lipophobic, hydrophilic material that allows water to pass while blocking lipids without having the lipids adhere to the material.

A fluid filtration assembly includes a filter housing having a first end for fluid connection with a fluid storage vessel. A filter cartridge is disposable within the filter housing, and a plunger pump is coupled at a second end of the filter housing. The plunger pump includes a housing having a rigid portion and a flexible portion. The flexible portion has a plunger-engaging portion for coupling to the plunger of an actuator. The flexible portion selectively movable with respect to the rigid portion via the actuator. The filter cartridge can be a hollow fiber filter. The plunger pump can be configured to induce alternating tangential flow in at least a portion of the assembly. The fluid filtration assembly can be provided as a disposable single-use arrangement.

A fluid filtration assembly includes a filter housing having a first end for fluid connection with a fluid storage vessel. A main housing provides a first reservoir and a second reservoir. Water flows from the first reservoir to the second reservoir. A draining aperture in the first reservoir directs water from the first reservoir to the second reservoir. The water may be flushed from the first reservoir to the second reservoir. In another embodiment, the water may flow directly from the first tank to the second tank without the flush. A pump circulates water from the second reservoir to the first reservoir. The pump directs the water through a filtration system to filter the water to remove at least some of the dirt, debris, and other contaminants from the water. The filtered water is then returned to the first reservoir. An overflow relief in a dividing wall of the first reservoir directs overflow water to the second reservoir.

Apparatus and methodologies are provided for pumping fluids from a body of fluids. Herein, an apparatus operably connected to at least one pump for pumping fluids from a body of fluids is provided, the apparatus having a pump hose with a first intake end for receiving the pumped fluids and a second outlet end operably connected to the pump, a pump intake assembly, fluidically connected to the intake end of the pump hose, the pump intake assembly having at least one fluid control valve, a rotatable filter cage, centrally disposed about the pump intake assembly, and at least one fluid injection pipe centrally disposed within the pump hose for supporting the at least one fluid control valve, and for injecting fluids to drive the rotation of the rotatable filter cage. Herein, methods of utilizing the fluid pumping apparatus are provided.

Apparatus and methodologies are provided for pumping fluids from a body of fluids. Herein, an apparatus operably connected to at least one pump for pumping fluids from a body of fluids is provided, the apparatus having a pump hose with a first intake end for receiving the pumped fluids and a second outlet end operably connected to the pump, a pump intake assembly, fluidically connected to the intake end of the pump hose, the pump intake assembly having at least one fluid control valve, a rotatable filter cage, centrally disposed about the pump intake assembly, and at least one fluid injection pipe centrally disposed within the pump hose for supporting the at least one fluid control valve, and for injecting fluids to drive the rotation of the rotatable filter cage. Herein, methods of utilizing the fluid pumping apparatus are provided.

A two-stage filtering system including a first and second filter container. The first filter container has a first filter assembly with a foam filter sleeve enveloping a fluid intake device, a connected valve, and transfer tubing. The second filter includes a pump connected to a spout, a second stage splashguard strainer, a second stage cup filter, and a second filter assembly. The second filter assembly includes at least one main filter comprising at least one carbon body filter enveloping a filter chamber, and exit tubing. The first filter container is structured to stack on top of the second filter container and the transfer tubing is structured to transfer first stage filtered fluid to the second filter container. The pump is structured to draw second stage filtered fluid from the second container through the exit tubing and expel the second stage filtered fluid out the spout to provide purified water.

A two-stage filtering system including a first and second filter container. The first filter container has a first filter assembly with a foam filter sleeve enveloping a fluid intake device, a connected valve, and transfer tubing. The second filter includes a pump connected to a spout, a second stage splashguard strainer, a second stage cup filter, and a second filter assembly. The second filter assembly includes at least one main filter comprising at least one carbon body filter enveloping a filter chamber, and exit tubing. The first filter container is structured to stack on top of the second filter container and the transfer tubing is structured to transfer first stage filtered fluid to the second filter container. The pump is structured to draw second stage filtered fluid from the second container through the exit tubing and expel the second stage filtered fluid out the spout to provide purified water.

A water cleaner, including a housing, a filtering mechanism and a filtering unit. Two ends of the housing are respectively provided with an inlet and an outlet. The filtering mechanism is arranged in the housing. The sewage flows into the housing through the inlet and flows towards the filtering mechanism. The filtering mechanism is configured to filter the sewage to obtain clean water, which flows out of the housing through the outlet. The filtering unit is arranged at the inlet of the housing, and is configured to allow water remaining in the housing to be discharged and prevent dirt remaining in the housing from being discharged when the water cleaner stops sewage purification and is separated from the sewage.
