MULTI-FUNCTIONAL FILTRATION APPARATUS AND METHOD
A multi-functional water filtration apparatus includes an outer housing defining a receptacle for receiving a filter assembly and having an inlet port at a first end for intake of unfiltered water and being open at a second end. The filter assembly includes an endcap closing the second end of the outer housing and a filter element enclosed within the outer housing. The endcap has an outlet port for dispensing filtered water. The outer housing has a flow passageway extending between the inlet port and the outlet port. The filter element is disposed in the flow passageway and has an upstream side in fluid communication with the inlet port and a downstream side in fluid communication with the outlet port. In certain aspects, the filtration apparatus provides multiple attachment options. In further aspects, a method of filtering water is provided.

Water filtration system and method
A modular water filtration system including a first filter manifold and a second filter manifold is provided. The first filter manifold includes a first bracket and a first pair of arm members horizontally extending from the first bracket. One of the first pair of arm members includes a protrusion defining a bore. The second filter manifold includes a second bracket and a second pair of arm members horizontally extending from the second bracket. One of the second pair of arm members includes a duct, and the duct is configured to receive the protrusion of the first filter manifold to provide fluid communication through the bore between the first filter manifold and the second filter manifold.

Filter assembly
A filter assembly comprises a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet and a filter medium for receipt of fluid from the fluid inlet and for supplying filtered fluid to the fluid outlet, the filter medium being located between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. The assembly further comprises pressure-limiting means, such as a pressure-relieving valve, located between the fluid inlet and the filter medium.

Filter and removable cartridge including a bypass valve
The filter for the purification of a liquid of a combustion engine, particularly lubricating oil, includes a housing that has, in a bottom part, an inlet for raw liquid and an outlet for purified liquid, and an unscrewable lid. A cartridge, defined by a filtering insert and a preassembled bypass valve, is received in the housing. The insert has a flange for fixing the valve, covering an end of the filtering medium. The bypass valve can be separated from the cover such that the cartridge can be removed. The valve has a removable connection element that axially engages with a complementary securing component formed on the flange, in a locking configuration obtained by a pivoting action.
FILTER BOWL RETENTION MECHANISM
A retention mechanism for releasably securing a receptacle to another component includes a ratchet lever pivotally mounted about a screw, a torsion spring having a first end attached to a first end of the lever and being biased to pivot the lever about the screw axis to a first, locked position. A second end of the lever engages, in use, with teeth provided on the receptacle to secure the receptacle against rotation relative to the other component. The mechanism has a compression spring arranged to bias the lever in an axial position such that, in the first, locked position, the second end of the lever engages the teeth. The first end of the lever is configured to receive pressure from a user against the force of the torsion spring to pivot the lever about the axis such that the second end of the lever disengages from the teeth.
