Filter element with air-bleed conduit

A filter element includes a first end cap, a second end cap, and an intermediate end cap disposed between the first end cap and the second end cap. A ring of first filter media circumscribing a first central cavity is disposed between the first end cap and the intermediate end cap. A ring of second filter media is disposed between the intermediate end cap and the second end cap. The filter element also includes an air-bleed conduit axially extending through the first central cavity and comprising a first portion integrally formed with the first end cap and a second portion integrally formed with the intermediate end cap and configured to connect to the first portion thereby forming a conduit for transmitting fluid.

Disclosed is an apparatus for removing air and particles, such as dirt, from a fluid which includes, inter alia, an elongated pressure vessel that has a vessel wall that defines an interior chamber and a vertical axis for the apparatus. Inlet and outlet ports are formed in the vessel wall, the inlet port allowing fluid to enter the interior chamber and the outlet port allowing conditioned fluid to exit the interior chamber of the pressure vessel. A plurality of concentrically arranged cylindrical mesh screen elements are positioned within the interior chamber that release entrained air from the fluid entering the interior chamber. Additionally, a cylindrical tube is positioned within the concentrically arranged mesh screen elements for removing particles from the fluid entering the interior chamber. In certain embodiments the apparatus includes a magnetic particle collector.

A treatment solution supply apparatus to supply a treatment solution to a treatment solution discharge unit via a supply path that is provided with a filter configured to remove foreign substances in the treatment solution and a tubephragm pump to send the treatment solution, the supply path has an opening/closing valve on an upstream side of the tubephragm pump and the filter, and a suck-back valve on a downstream side of the tubephragm pump and the filter, and includes a control unit to control at least the tubephragm pump, the opening/closing valve, and the suck-back valve, wherein the control unit performs: a control of stopping sending of the treatment solution from the tubephragm pump; and a control of suspending discharge of the treatment solution from the treatment solution discharge unit by operation of the suck-back valve, and then closing the opening/closing valve to stop the discharge.

In one or more embodiments, a method for using a device includes: operably attaching a water filter to the device, operably attaching the device to a faucet, applying water pressure from the faucet in order to prime the water filter, and observing the effects of water pressure on the device.

A tank for storing oil includes a suction strainer with first and second filtration portions. The first filtration portion has a substantially cylindrical shape and formed by bending a thin plate into a pleated shape. The second filtration portion is provided on the outer side of the first filtration portion. The second filtration portion has a substantially cylindrical shape and is formed of a material having a plurality of spaces formed in a surface and interior of the material.

A filter element for a fluid has a filter medium arranged in annular shape about a longitudinal axis to be flowed through by the fluid to be filtered radially. A coaxial outlet socket is arranged at an end of the filter element facing upwardly in filtering operation. The coaxial outlet socket has a fluid outlet channel for filtered fluid and a venting channel that vents a clean side and/or a raw side of the filter element. The venting channel coaxially surrounds the fluid outlet channel radially and extends at least in sections thereof in axial direction. A filter system is provided with a filter head that has a fluid inlet conduit, a fluid outlet conduit for filtered fluid, and a venting conduit, wherein the filter element is suspended from the filter head.

Fuel water separator filter

A fuel water separator filter that is configured as a filter-in-filter construction with multiple water separating layers to separate water from the fuel. The fuel water separator filter is configured for use on a suction side of a fuel pump, and includes a neck with a radially outward facing seal that in use seals with the filter housing. The filter housing is formed with an isolated water sump that in use is isolated from water that is stripped from the fuel by the first stage of the outer filter.

The air separator includes a vessel defining a hollow interior chamber having an inlet for receiving fuel from a fuel source and an outlet for fluidic communication with an engine. An air-bleed receives and removes a quantity of undesired gas, which is in fluidic communication with a discharge port. Further, a filter media for contact with fuel received and a conduit for delivering fuel passing through the filter media to the outlet. The air separator removes gas from the fuel prior to passage through the outlet to the engine, with the gas passing through the air-bleed. The air bleed includes a fluidic mixing alcove for passage of the gas through the discharge port. The air separator is between the transfer pump and the engine. Finally, installation sets for mounting the air separator to the fuel delivery system.
