Fluid synthesis system
Fluid synthesis system and corresponding method for synthesis of slurry containing abrasive particles. The system and method are configured to substantially segregate the abrasive particles passing through the filter, used at the filtering step of the process, from the sticky components that clog such filter prior to the filtering step of the synthesis process to achieve a sustaining filtration of the slurry as a result of which the filter remains substantially unclogged for the whole predetermined duration of the filtering process.
Multi-stage reaction and separation systems of a CO2-based hydrometallurgical process
The present invention is a CO.sub.2 based hydrometallurgical multistage reaction and separation system comprising: a pre-washing device configured to fully mix the feedstock, such as industrial solid waste, mineral and mine tailings with auxiliary reagents and water at specific ratio, a reactor configured to treat the washed slurry with CO.sub.2 bubbling and discharge the treated slurry to the next stage, multistage separators configured to separate solid particles from treated slurry and recycle the unreacted solids back into the pre-washing device, a by-product preparation device configured to generate calcium and magnesium based products from filtrate containing target elements, a water recirculating device configured to recycle the remaining liquor back to the system. The present invention ensures the whole system is able to continuously and consistently react at maximum capacity through continuous slurry feeding and CO.sub.2 bubbling into the reactors which also enables multistage circulating reaction.
SEPTIC TANK AUTOMATIC EFFLUENT FILTER CLEANING SYSTEM
The invention includes an automatic effluent filter cleaning system that prevents sewage backups. The system includes an outlet baffle with filter, spray assembly, inlet and outlet flappers, pump, and strainers. The spray assembly actuates the baffles to control effluent flow prior, during, and after the cleaning process. During a high-water level condition, the pump engages and pumps effluent water from the septic tank to close the inlet flapper to prevent additional effluent water from entering the outlet baffle. Similarly, effluent water is pumped to close the outlet flapper to prevent effluent water from leaving the baffle. Spray outlets spray effluent water to remove debris from the filter. An outer chamber receives and channels the debris to strainers, which retain the removed debris while allowing the effluent water to return to the septic tank. Once the water level recedes to a safe level, the flappers are opened, and operation resumes.

DETERGENT-MIXED DRY HYDROGEL PARTICLE AND CONCENTRATION AND SPECIFIC ACTIVITY ENHANCEMENT OF MACROMOLECULE
This invention belongs to the field of preparation of macromolecule sample of various volumes, pertaining to a detergent-mixed dry hydrogel particle and a method of using the particle to mass concentrate the macromolecule liquid sample or to enhance specific activity of the protein liquid sample. After thorough suspension and hydration in a detergent solution, the hydrogel particle is separated from the excess of the detergent solution and dried into the detergent-mixed dry hydrogel particle; upon contacting the macromolecule liquid sample in certain ratio with the dry particle having a pore size of its cross-linked network smaller than the macromolecule to allow absorption and swelling of the hydrogel particle, filter centrifugation or filter conical rotating drum centrifugation is exercised to remove the hydrogel particle whose surface is deprived of water and to collect the concentrate filtrate of the macromolecule mass or the protein sample with enhanced specific activity.

System for separating solids from a fluid stream
A system for separating solids from a fluid includes a containment vessel having a V-shaped tank in fluid communication with an agitated overflow tank. Baffles within the V-shaped tank provide a series of zones where the fluid is deposited for processing. A shaftless auger at the bottom of the V-shaped tank transfers solids to an area where they are pumped to a first hydrocyclone assembly associated with a first shaker. Overflow from the hydrocyclone assembly and underflow from the first shaker is further processed by a second hydrocyclone assembly associated with a second shaker. Overflow from the second hydrocyclone assembly and underflow from the second shaker are deposited into overflow tank which contains the cleaned fluid.
