PARABOLOIDAL AND CYLINDRICAL LOW-PRESSURE DROP SORBENT FILTER SYSTEM FOR FILTRATION, DIRECT AIR CAPTURE, OR POINT SOURCE CAPTURE
The disclosure herein relates to a sorbent filter for filtering at least one of an axial, radial, and perpendicular flow of at least one of a gas, plasma, liquid, and solid particulates, the sorbent filter having a support material, a binder material for binding one or more active chemical material from a functional group to the support material and a filter body. The filter body includes a height of the sorbent filter longer than a radius of the filter body, the radius extending from a center axis through the filter body; an inner surface having a thickness less than the radius, and an outer surface in contact with at least one electrolyte and electrode for transmitting a voltage to the filter body.

SORBENT INDOOR AIR PURIFIER
A diffusive air purifier includes an air permeable container containing a chemical sorbent or a sorbent precursor. The sorbent has a chemical composition selected to achieve removal of an air pollutant via a chemical reaction that renders the predetermined air pollutant immobile. A method of manufacturing the diffusive air purifier includes impregnating a porous solid with a solution of sorbent precursor and a binding agent and drying the porous solid. A method of purifying indoor air includes detecting a measured concentration of an airborne chemical in an enclosed location; selecting the diffusive air purifier to adsorb the airborne chemical; and placing the diffusive air purifier in the enclosed location. Air diffuses through the outer container and into the sorbent where the chemical to be removed is retained. Air, free of the target chemical, diffuses out of the container and the process repeats.

Lightweight fibrous media (LFM) filter
A filtration system using lightweight fibrous media (LFM) filter balls that are pre-compressed into an intermediary vessel or element before placing into an outer pressure-holding housing and where the LFM filter balls can be removed periodically to allow separation and relaxation of the media for cleaning. A plurality of lightweight fibrous media balls is pre-compressed at a predetermined ratio of compression and packing density inside their intermediary vessel or element before installation into an outer housing capable of holding pressures of a water flow, thereby forming a single filter mass providing multitudes of tortuous paths through which water can flow and the filter media can capture small particulate matter to reduce turbidity and other water-borne particulate contaminants.
