MESH FILTER AND FLUID HANDLING DEVICE
The present invention provides a mesh filter having superior handling performance for liquid-solution lyophilizates. This mesh filter 130 has a mesh 131, and liquid-solution lyophilizates 132 affixed to the mesh.
FILTER
A filter that includes: a filter base portion having a first main surface and a second main surface, the filter base portion defining a plurality of through-holes connecting the first main surface and the second main surface via an inner wall extending from the second main surface toward the first main surface; and a support portion that has a plurality of protruding portions located in respective through-holes of the plurality of through-holes and disposed on the second main surface of the filter base portion, the plurality of protruding portions having an outer wall in contact with the inner wall of the filter base portion, wherein a first opening on the first main surface side of the filter base portion is larger than a second opening on the second main surface side of the filter base portion, and there is a clearance between the filter base portion and the support portion.

ARTICLES COMPRISING BINDERS, CROSS-LINKING AGENTS AND/OR OTHER COMPONENTS, AND RELATED METHODS
Articles comprising binders, cross-linking agents and/or other components, and related methods are generally disclosed.
AEROSOL-BASED LIQUID PARTICLE DETECTION MEASUREMENT
A measurement system includes an atomizer, an impactor, a particle counter, and a discharge reservoir. The atomizer has a liquid intake port and a gas intake port configured to aerosolize a liquid received at the liquid intake port. The impactor has an inlet coupled to the atomizer and has a first output port and a second output port. The impactor is configured to separate droplets wherein those droplets smaller than a selected cut point are directed to the first output port and those droplets larger than the selected cut point are directed to the second output port. The particle counter is coupled to the first output port and is configured to count particles larger than at least one particle size cut point. The discharge reservoir is coupled to the second output port.
Membrane separation method of cell suspension, and cell culture device
The present disclosure provides a membrane separation method of a cell suspension which can appropriately separate cells from debris, and a cell culture device. That is, membrane separation processing of the cell suspension is performed using a filtration membrane which includes an inlet-side opening formed on one surface and an outlet-side opening, which is formed on the other surface and communicates with the inlet-side opening, and in which the inlet-side opening and the outlet-side opening are disposed at positions deviated in a direction parallel to the surfaces of the membrane.

Cyclonic vehicular traffic pollution control system
A filter may remove PM.sub.2.5 and/or other airborne pollutants, which filter has fibers of an average diameter of no more than 500 nm, the fibers of at least 90 wt. % polyacrylonitrile, relative to all fibers in the filter; and a catalyst of at least 90 wt. % TiO.sub.2, relative to all catalytic metals in the filter, dispersed onto the fibers. The fibers need not be charged. The TiO.sub.2 may be condensed or precipitated onto the fibers out of a liquid containing the TiO.sub.2 and the fibers by simple methods. The catalyst may be activated by UV irradiation to decompose particulate matter having an average particle size of 2.5 μm or less, i.e., PM.sub.2.5, and/or other airborne pollutants from air. Such filters may be implemented around areas of vehicle traffic, e.g., as elements of traffic lights, and may be used to controllably purify polluted air.
LAST CHANCE SCREEN FOR AIRCRAFT FUEL SYSTEM
A last chance screen for a fuel system includes a mesh that includes a first plurality of members extending in a first direction and a second plurality of members extending in a second direction and intersecting the first members. Openings are formed in the mesh between the first plurality of members and the second plurality of members. The first plurality of members and the second plurality of members have an airfoil shaped cross-section.
