HVAC air retrieval system for work machine

A work machine, such as a skid steer loader or a compact track loader, includes an air intake assembly for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) unit. A conduit integrated into a structure supporting a roof over an operator cab accepts air and water from the atmosphere through an air inlet proximate the roof. A debris outlet downstream in the conduit allows gravity to return the water to the environment. Between the air inlet and the debris outlet, an orifice in the conduit connects to an air duct through which the air may be diverted by suction from the HVAC unit. An air filter at the end of the air duct removes remaining particulates from the air prior to conditioning by the HVAC unit. Sizing the cross-sectional areas of the air path to exceed a cross-sectional area of an inlet to the air filter and providing a substantially straight air path avoids resistance to air flow, resulting in efficient intake of cleaner air.

FILTER DEVICE AND WATER HEATER

The filter device includes a supply air introducing part, a filter main body part and a discharge part. The supply air introducing part takes in an outside air. The filter main body part includes a ventilation pipe connected to the supply air introducing part to allow the outside air to flow through the ventilation pipe and a filter housing part being equipped with an outflow hole allowing the outside air to flow outside at a position higher than a position of the opening part of the ventilation pipe to separate, from the outside air, a liquid in a liquid state or a state close thereto. The liquid is taken in together with the outside air. The discharge part discharges at least the separated liquid from the filter main body part.

An explosion isolation device for collecting dust discharged from a hopper into a dust collection drum that eliminates an airlock requirement to isolate the negative pressured dust collector from receiving air via a bottom aperture in the lower portion of the hopper, thereby preventing an explosion in the dust collector that exceeds the pressure rating of the device and dust collection drum. The explosion isolation device includes a spool member detachably secured to a drum cover having an aperture configured and dimensioned substantially similar to an aperture through the spool member. The drum cover is detachably secured to the dust collection drum via a drum cover clamp, which is secured to the spool member or alternatively to the drum cover such that the clamp is suspended beneath the drum cover when the dust collection drum is full and replaced by an empty drum.
