An air filter system for use as original equipment or conventional filter replacement in a building ventilation system includes multiple helical particle separator elements in a parallel array, each element configured to remove particles from a respective portion of contaminated inflowing air. The outflows from the separator elements are combined into a common clean air outflow which is delivered to the building ventilation system. A common waste receptable collects particles removed by the separator elements and is cooperatively connected to a scavenger air system that draws air through the array and the receptable and relocates them to a desired location. The separator element array may be housed in a filter system containing the main system fan arrangement that is configured to draw or force the airflow through the multiple particle separators.

Wet or dry embodiments of the pollutant capturer and mobilizer utilize wet or dry pollutant capturing components, respectively, to capture one or multiple types of polluting substances from a body of polluted gaseous substance. Flow-establishing devices can be used to set the body of polluted gaseous substance in motion through the pollutant capturing component. The pollutant capturer and mobilizer may also be mounted on any type of vehicle, with or without using flow-establishing devices.

The double-walled flow pipe may also include an outer tube surrounding the inner tube such that an annular passage is defined between the inner and outer tubes. The annular passage may be in flow communication with the fluid conduit. When a vacuum is applied to the annular passage, the aspirated airflow may be drawn through the fluid conduit from the pre-cleaner and directed to the annular passage. The aspirated airflow flows through the annular passage as the primary fluid flow is being directed through the inner tube.
