Integral flow structure within a containment cover

A filtration assembly includes a housing. The housing includes a first housing for fluid and a second housing opening for fluid. A containment cover is removably coupled to the housing. The containment cover defines a cover opening, a cover surface, and a flow passage. The cover opening is in fluid communication with the housing. The cover surface is substantially continuous around a circumference of the containment cover. The cover surface includes an open portion in fluid communication with the second housing opening. The flow passage is formed by a first passage surface and a second passage surface. The flow passage includes a first end in fluid communication with the cover opening. A second end is in fluid communication with the second housing opening through the open portion of the cover surface. The flow passage extends radially outward from the cover opening.

The present disclosure relates to air filters and the frame to support the air filters. More particularly, it relates to synthetic and natural fiber filters that do not have frames. The frame assembly in this present and its special frame allows for fiber media filters to be easily connected to the frame and replaced. The frame is easily modified to fit a wide range of openings.

Single-transport mobile electric power generation

A power generation transport includes a gas turbine, an inlet plenum coupled to an intake of the gas turbine, a generator driven by the gas turbine, and an air intake and exhaust module including an air inlet filter housing, an intake air duct coupled to the housing at a first end and to the inlet plenum at a second end, and an exhaust collector coupled to an exhaust of the gas turbine. The transport further includes at least one base frame. The frame mounts and aligns the gas turbine, the inlet plenum, the generator, and the air intake and exhaust module. The intake air duct is mounted on the base frame so as to be disposed underneath the gas turbine, and extend along the base frame from an exhaust end side of the gas turbine to an intake end side, in a longitudinal direction of the power generation transport.

Atmospheric Aerosol Coalescer
20220370939 · 2022-11-24 ·

An atmospheric aerosol coalescer (AAC) is a device for collecting water from cooling tower plumes, fog. The AAC may include tapered spiral tube body with a helix shaped skin for atmospheric aerosol to pass through. Micro-droplets of water in air, as in cooling tower plumes, fog, separate inside the AAC due to large density difference and centrifugal forces inside the spiral tube. 3-100-micron diameter water micro-droplets may grow to 1000-4000 micron drops by coalescence on the internal walls of the AAC. Big drops detach to a drain at its base and fall through a spout to a collection pond. A number of AAC arrays may be supported by a net or an inflated pad. The net or inflated pad may be lifted by a tethered aerostat.

Filter element and air cleaner assembly

A filter element may include first and second pairs of opposing walls extending along a longitudinal axis of the filter element. The first and second pairs of opposing walls may create a flow passage between an inlet end and an outlet end of the filter element. The filter element may further include filter media configured to separate particulates from air flowing through the flow passage, and a wedge element associated with an exterior surface of at least one of the first pair of opposing walls. The wedge element may be configured to cooperate with an interior surface of a filter housing configured to receive the filter element. Outlet edges of the opposing walls of the first pair of opposing walls may extend at a first oblique angle with respect to the longitudinal axis, and the wedge element may extend at a second oblique angle with respect to the longitudinal axis.

Filtration device and use of said device for separating and collecting brake dust

The filtration device enables the separation and collection of dust and particles produced by the pads of a brake assembly. A first separation unit having an air filtration medium, typically annular, is provided in the housing of the device, in order to define an upstream zone where air is admitted, for example tangentially, and a downstream zone in communication with an outlet of the housing for discharging the purified air. The upstream zone is in communication with a lower stage situated lower down, in which a second separation unit is located in order to separate water from particles that have fallen from the upstream zone. A filtration by the second unit is intended to collect clean water and possibly to discharge this water by gravitational flow. The fallen particles remain trapped inside the device, under the first unit.

AIRBORNE PATHOGEN EXTRACTION SYSTEM
20230058361 · 2023-02-23 ·

An airborne pathogen extraction system that provides for continuous airborne pathogen particle extraction from a specifically targeted area in a room or a specifically targeted area proximate to a user. The pathogenic particles are filtered and/or disinfected before the air is returned proximate to the originating location, or are directed an area away from the user(s). The airborne pathogen extraction systems and methods lower the chances of contagion or infection from airborne pathogens, such as viruses.

Surface coated filter method

A filter element is provided. The filter element includes a filter media pack including an outer surface. The outer surface extending between a first flow face and a second flow face. The filter element also includes a polymeric coating applied to the outer surface of the filter media pack, wherein the polymeric coating is not a molded structure. In embodiments, the polymeric coating covers at least 25% of a span between the first flow face and the second flow face and has an average thickness of between 0.005 and 0.100 in. In other embodiments, the polymeric coating has a surface roughness of at least 50 μin to provide an outer gripping surface. A method and system for applying the polymeric coating to the filter element are also provided.
