AIR PURIFIER HAVING ULTRAVIOLET DISINFECTION MEANS
20220125986 · 2022-04-28 ·

The present invention provides an air purifier that purifies, disinfect and decontaminate convention air flow by using UV rays. Because the UV rays emitted by the UV light sources are contained within the air purifier, use of the air purifier is safe in that a nearby person can avoid exposure to hazardous UV radiation. Adjustment of operating conditions, such as the UV intensity and wavelength and air speed, is programmable via a remote controller, a smart switch, a smart device, a wireless communication device, a smart home control appliance, a sensing device, and/or a built-in module, which renders the air purifier a smart appliance that may automatically and optimally suits to a user's need based on the user's habit and other physical parameters. Installation and removal of the air purifier, as well as cleaning and replacement of any part thereof, are simple and convenient, as a result of the clever design.

HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE AND EXHAUST GAS PURIFYING DEVICE

A system for dehydrating raw produce without introducing excess heat to the produce, including a first chamber for holding warm, moist air, a second chamber connected in fluidic communication with the first chamber for cooling and drying warm, moist air received from the first chamber, and a filter operationally connected between the first and second chambers for removing suspended particulates from warm, moist air flowing therethrough with a drain operationally connected to the second chamber for removing water therefrom. A third chamber is connected in fluidic communication with the second chamber for receiving cool, dry air therefrom and for receiving raw produce for drying, and a wind current generator operationally connected to the second chamber to urge cool, dry air therefrom and into the third chamber.

Four way conversion catalysts for gasoline engine emissions treatment systems

Catalyzed particulate filters comprise three-way conversion (TWC) catalytic material that permeates walls of a particulate filter such that the catalyzed particulate filter has a coated porosity that is less than an uncoated porosity of the particulate filter. The coated porosity is linearly proportional to a washcoat loading of the TWC catalytic material. A coated backpressure is non-detrimental to performance of the engine. Such catalyzed particulate filters may be used in an emission treatment system downstream of a gasoline direct injection engine for treatment of an exhaust stream comprising hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulates.

METHOD FOR OPERATING A UREA DOSING SYSTEM IN AN ENGINE SYSTEM, AND ENGINE SYSTEM INCLUDING A UREA DOSING SYSTEM

In a method for operating a urea dosing system in an exhaust aftertreatment system (EATS) of an engine, an ambient temperature is measured in an environment in which the EATS is disposed, one or more temperatures associated with the EATS to which there is a relationship to a temperature of area in the urea dosing system are monitored. After turning off the engine, whether urea in the urea dosing system is subject to freezing is determined based on the measured ambient temperature and the one or more monitored temperatures. A reversion operation is performed after turning off the engine with a delay until one or more events occur, the one or more events including determining that urea in the urea dosing system is subject to freezing. An engine system is also provided.

Vehicle air cleaner

An air cleaner for a vehicle includes a case having an air inlet pipe and an air outlet pipe. A cover is removably attached to the case for covering an open top portion of the case. With the cover attached to the case an interior of the air cleaner defines a flow passage directed through the air cleaner from the air inlet pipe to the air outlet pipe. A filter element is received in the interior and is arranged over the flow passage. The flow passage immediately downstream of the filter element includes an elbow-shaped section for redirecting airflow from the filter element toward the air outlet pipe. The elbow-shaped section is provided with at least one first guide rib shaped correspondingly to the elbow-shaped section. The flow passage upstream of the air outlet pipe defines a branching section formed as an acoustic resonator for reducing air intake noise.

Exhaust treatment system including nickel-containing catalyst

Methods and systems are provided for emissions control of a vehicle. In one example, a catalyst may include a cerium-based support material and a transition metal catalyst loaded on the support material, the transition metal catalyst including nickel and copper, wherein nickel in the transition metal catalyst is included in a monatomic layer loaded on the support material. In some examples, limiting nickel to the monatomic layer may mitigate extensive transition metal catalyst degradation ascribed to sintering of thicker nickel washcoat layers. Further, by utilizing the cerium-based support material, side reactions involving nickel in the transition metal catalyst with other support materials may be prevented.

Catalytic filters are usable in hydrogenation and emissions control processes. The catalytic filters include an open inlet into a hollow body and a closed end thereby forcing fluid or gas through a porous catalytic layer of the filter. The catalytic layer includes inorganic fibers and a catalyst disposed on or incorporated into the fibers.

Structure for suctioning back blow-back fuel

A first fuel storage portion is disposed on the upstream side of a fuel supply device of an engine so as to be contiguous with an air-intake passage of the fuel supply device. A blow-back suppression plate for suppressing blow-back from the air-intake passage is disposed between a filter element and the first fuel storage portion of an air cleaner. A suction-back passage is formed such that fuel accumulated in a fuel accumulation portion in the air cleaner is suctioned back through the suction-back passage into the air-intake passage. The suction-back passage allows communication between the fuel accumulation portion in the air cleaner and a suction-back port formed at the downstream-side end of the first fuel storage portion.
