A filtration unit for aspirating infectious aerosols and spray droplets expelled from a patient's mouth is disclosed. The filtration unit has a housing defining an air inlet; an articulated tube assembly fluidly connected to the air inlet; a hood connected to the tube assembly; a fan disposed in the lower portion of the housing; and at least one filter disposed in the housing vertically above the fan and fluidly between the air inlet and at least one air outlet defined in the filtration unit. During operation of the fan, air flows sequentially through the hood, then through the articulated tube assembly, then through the air inlet into the housing, then through the at least one filter, and then out of the housing via the at least one air outlet. A method of using the filtration unit is also disclosed.

This disclosure relates to aggregating, neutralizing, and filtering ultra-fine particles in fluids such as air and water. Fluid may be drawn from an ambient environment into a neutralization chamber. Within the neutralization chamber, particles in the fluid may be agglomerated. An acoustic field may be applied to the fluid to agglomerate the particles. The agglomerated particles may be exposed to light. The light may denature or deactivate the agglomerated particles. The agglomerated and inert particles maybe passed through a filter. After agglomeration and neutralization, the fluid may be released back into the ambient environment.

The housing includes at least two opposite housing pieces which can be hermetically sealed together along a sealing line which is situated in a sealing face.

A filter system and method include a filter configured to receive a first fluid mixture via an inlet. The first fluid mixture includes a first fluid and debris. The filter is shaped to separate a portion of the debris from the first fluid. A fluid control device is fluidly coupled with the filter. The fluid control device receives the first fluid from the filter and changes a characteristics of the first fluid. A conduit is fluidly coupled with the filter and a second fluid source. The conduit receives the debris from the filter and a second fluid from the second fluid source. The conduit combines the debris with the second fluid to form a second fluid mixture within the conduit. The conduit is shaped to control one or more of a pressure or a velocity within the conduit to direct the second fluid mixture through the conduit toward an outlet.

The disclosure is directed toward presses which may comprise planar or curved press plates that can be driven toward and away from each other such as via linear reciprocating movement to press filter media sheets as opposed to using rolls. The press plates can create such features as embossments that may have the ridges and grooves, brands, creases or other such features. The press can create pleated packs or individual panels for non-pleated packs. Additionally, a variety of embossed pleat packs, unique shapes, structural components and other pleat packs that may be formed by presses or other methodology are disclosed as well as filter cartridges using such pleat packs.

The robotic surface cleaning device may also include a support tower coupled to the maneuvering base and at least one deployable structure attached to the support tower, wherein the at least one deployable structure is capable of extending and retracting to pass over surfaces in the room area. The at least one deployable structure may include one or more ultraviolet (UV) light source configured to disinfect the surfaces in the room area. The support tower may include at least one air inflow vent configured to draw in room air, at least one air sanitizing unit configured with at least one array of UV light emitting diodes (LEDs), and at least one discharge vent configured to emit sanitized air.
