The openable lid has a handle provided having a hand grip portion that extends longitudinally between first and second opposed ends of the handle. The suction motor is positioned in the air flow path downstream of the debris separator. The motor axis of rotation is transverse to the longitudinal axis and is longitudinally spaced from the air treatment chamber axis. The motor axis of rotation may extend through the first end of the handle, and the air treatment chamber axis may extend through the second end of the handle.
Blood clot removal device, system, and method
A blood clot removal device for removing blood clots from the vascular system of a patient is implantable in the patient's body. The blood clot removal device comprises a blood flow passageway to be connected to the patient's vascular system to allow circulation of the patient's blood through the blood flow passageway, a filter provided in the blood flow passageway for collecting blood clots occurring in the blood flowing through the blood flow passageway, and a cleaning device for moving blood clots collected by the filter out of the blood flow passageway. By means of such blood clot removal device, the risk of blood clots reaching sensitive areas of the patient's body, such as the brain, is reduced.
HVAC Home Air Filter
An apparatus and a method are provided for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) home air filter to remove airborne molecular contaminants and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from air within residential spaces. The HVAC home air filter comprises a supportive frame having a shape and size suitable to orient the HVAC home air filter within a residential HVAC system. A filter medium is retained within the supportive frame to remove the airborne molecular contaminants and VOCs from air flowing through the residential HVAC system. The filter medium comprises a combination of media layers configured to exhibit a relatively high filtration efficiency and a low air pressure drop across the filter medium. The supportive frame comprises a plurality of elongate sections and corner sections disposed along perimeter edges of the filter medium to support the filter medium within the residential HVAC system so as direct air through the filter medium.
Aftertreatment system for internal combustion engines
An aftertreatment system of an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The aftertreatment system includes in a sequence along the exhaust pipe, a lean NOx trap and a particulate filter. An air/fuel ratio sensor is located upstream of the lean NOx trap and downstream of the turbine outlet to determine the air/fuel ratio during a regeneration process (DeNOx) in the lean NOx trap. A NOx sensor is located downstream of the lean NOx trap or downstream of the particulate filter, to determine NOx in the exhaust pipe. A turbine temperature is determined in accordance with a first means, and a temperature during a desulphation process (DeSOx) in the lean NOx trap is determined in accordance with a second means. At least one of the first and second means for determining a temperature may be a temperature sensor.
Exhaust component cleaning and requalification process
According to one embodiment, a method for cleaning and requalifying a component of an exhaust aftertreatment system includes inspecting the component using an x-ray processing technique. The method further includes associating the plurality of cleaning techniques with a plurality of compositions of material, and cleaning the component according to at least one of the plurality of cleaning techniques associated with the composition of material.
Removable flue gas strainer and associated methods
Apparatuses, systems, and methods operable to reduce catalyst fouling by removing solid particulates from a heated fluid stream upstream of a catalyst using one or more flue gas strainer apparatuses that may be cleaned or serviced without ceasing or disrupting heating or catalytic operations. The flue gas strainer apparatuses may include a housing having a front end and a back end, the housing comprising a receiving portion, an outer edge, an inner edge, and an inner bore extending from the front end to the back end of the housing along the inner edge. The inner bore is operable to allow a heated fluid stream to pass therethrough. The flue gas strainer apparatus may also include a moveable strainer portion comprising one or more removable mesh portions. Each of the one or more removable mesh portions may have a plurality of pores and configured to capture solid particulates suspended in the heated fluid stream. The one or more removable mesh portions may be operable to be removingly received in the receiving portion of the housing.

GROUNDED DETERGENT AIR FILTER
An electrostatics-enhanced air filter that produces an electrostatic attraction for dust particles using an electrical ground or electrically charged filter is disclosed. The present invention takes advantage of the mirror-charge effect that spontaneously induces an opposite and attractive charge on the filter that pulls in dust particles. A fibrous filter medium pad is impregnated with a liquidus solution, which is a conductive aqueous electrolyte solution which would capture dust particles. Charges on dust particles would be drained off through the liquidus solution to the ground, preventing the effective electrical potential of the filter from changing. The liquidus solution also contains a detergent that keeps the filter clear of oily air contaminants to maintain conductivity through the filter service life. The liquidus solution contains a wetting agent for engulfing dust particles therein/thereon. The liquidus solution also contains a hygroscopic agent that prevents it from partially drying during its use.
