SCRUBBING COLUMN FOR CLEANING OF GAS STREAMS

The invention provides a scrubbing column for cleaning gas streams laden with absorbent residues, for example with methanol, and also with solid particles, for example with fuel dust. The gas scrubbing is effected by means of a random packing disposed in the lower region of the scrubbing column and the gas scrubbing of the gas stream laden solely with absorbent residues but not with solid particles by means of a structured packing disposed in the upper region of the scrubbing column. The use of the scrubbing column according to the invention in the integrated plant system between a gasification plant and a plant for gas scrubbing which is operated by the Rectisol process, for example, offers particular advantages with regard to its industrial employability owing to the possible connections described, which bring synergies for efficient operation of the integrated plant system.

The housing is provided with an air inlet and an air outlet. A cavity, in communication with the air inlet and the air outlet, is defined inside the housing. Each of the one or more purification assemblies is rotatably arranged in the cavity, and is located between the air inlet and the air outlet. Each of the one or more capture assemblies is rotatably arranged at a downstream side of the one or more purification assemblies. The electric motor is used for driving the one or more purification assemblies and the one or more capture assemblies.

APPARATUS AND A METHOD FOR WASHING OF HYDROCARBON PRODUCT VAPOR

An apparatus and a method for washing hydrocarbon product vapor are disclosed. The apparatus comprises housing, a first wash zone at a predefined cross-section of the housing for receiving the hydrocarbon product vapor, a plurality of injection units located within the first wash zone at predetermined intervals of the length of the housing for receiving wash oil. The injection units inject oil droplets formed from the received wash oil to contact the vapor and obtain a primary washed hydrocarbon vapor within the first wash zone. Further, a second wash zone is located above and in fluid communication with the first wash zone for receiving the primary washed hydrocarbon vapor. One or more spray headers receive wash oil and spray oil droplets formed from the received wash oil to contact with the primary washed hydrocarbon vapor, thereby forming a secondary washed hydrocarbon vapor.
