A modular cabinet assembly has at least a first sub-cabinet and a second sub-cabinet. Each sub-cabinet includes a back board having at least two separate back board pieces that are pivotably connected to each other, a left side board pivotably connected to one of the at least two back board pieces, and a right side board pivotably connected to another of the at least two back board pieces. At least one shelf board having opposite ends is removably connected to the left side board and the right side board of either the first sub-cabinet or the second sub-cabinet. A first end board is connected to either an upper end of the first sub-cabinet or a lower end of the second sub-cabinet. A first connector removably connects the left side boards of the first and second sub-cabinets, and a second connector removably connects the right side boards of the first and second sub-cabinets.

A multipurpose piece of furniture (1) has four square panels (3, 4, 6, 7), i.e., a first vertical side panel (3), a second vertical side panel (4) arranged parallel thereto, a third panel (6) that is arranged between an edge (5) of the first side panel (3) and an edge of the second side panel (4) at a right angle to the first side panel (3) and the second side panel (4) and that connects the first side panel (3) and the second side panel (4) into a U-shaped piece of furniture. A catering shelving system is disclosed with a series of shelves in order to assist caters in transporting food from one location to another. The shelving system racks may be detachable or pivotally attached through the use of rotation mechanisms for easy break down and storage. The shelving system may accommodate a series of different types of pans of all shapes, sizes, and weights.

A piece of furniture, comprising a first and second furniture part, which are coupled to each other at an angle by means of mechanical coupling means. A female part is made as an oblong slot in the second furniture part with an insertion opening for introducing a male part. When coupling the first furniture part and the second furniture part to each other, the male part is brought from an insertion position in the insertion opening to an end position in the female part by moving the male part and the female part along each other. The male part is situated on a narrow end of the first furniture part and is positioned with its center line between the central plane of the first furniture part and the inner side of the first furniture part. A set of panels configured to be locked together by a flexible tongue which includes a flexible element and an opposite flexible element, wherein an end of the flexible element and an end of the opposite flexible element are connected to a connecting part, wherein an outer end of the flexible element and an outer end of the opposite flexible element each includes a protruding part, wherein the protruding part of the flexible element and the protruding part of the opposite flexible element are configured to cooperate during assembling of the first panel and the second panel with a guiding surface of the first panel such that the protruding part of the flexible element and the protruding part of the opposite flexible element are pushed towards a bottom surface of the insertion groove.

A system for slide-in fastening includes a first furniture member including slide-in dowels, each including a cut-out surface, an entry cut, a rear cut; a second furniture member with slide-in inserts, each including an entry opening and interior, and a target opening and interior, such that the dowels insert into entry interiors and slide sideways into the target interiors to hold the first and second furniture members securely together. Also disclosed is a method for manufacturing slide-in dowels, including inserting cylindrical dowels and machining exposed ends.

A system for snap-in fastening includes a first furniture member including snap-in dowels, each including a cut-out surface with ribs, an entry cut, a rear cut; a second furniture member with snap-in inserts, each including an entry opening and interior with ribs, such that the dowels insert into entry interiors to lock the first and second furniture members securely together with interlocking ribs.

A transport rack and/or storage rack for standing transport and/or standing storage of plate-shaped goods, such as windows or doors, includes at least two support elements. A standing strip is arranged on a first end of each of the support elements and is removably fastenable, resting on a floor plate. The support elements are connected to each other by at least one crossbar placed on the support elements and the standing strip is aligned perpendicularly to the crossbar. The support elements are single or multi-part plates, having two leaning edges approaching each other at an acute angle away from a base side arranged on the standing strip.
