MEMBER FOR VENTILATION HOLE, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING MEMBER FOR VENTILATION HOLE, AND TAPE FOR FEEDING MEMBER
A member of the present invention is to be placed to cover a ventilation hole in order to allow passage of gas between an outside and an inside of a housing through the ventilation hole of the housing and prevent dust and/or a liquid from entering the inside from the outside through the ventilation hole. The member of the present invention includes a porous membrane having air permeability in a thickness direction and a provisional protective film joined to the porous membrane to cover the porous membrane from the outside side. The provisional protective film is air-impermeable in a thickness direction or has lower air permeability in the thickness direction than the air permeability of the porous membrane. The provisional protective film and the porous membrane are joined to each other in such a manner that the provisional protective film is removable from the porous membrane.
FILTRATION UNITS AND ASSEMBLY, AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME
A self-contained filtration assembly with a self-contained filtration cassette therein. The cassette may be formed from one or more layers membranes and spacers (spacers, screens, or combinations thereof) all having the same general shape. The cassette may have a feed inlet path and a retentate outlet path extending through the layers of the cassette within the perimeter of the cassette, and a permeate outlet path between the cassette exterior and the interior of the cassette housing. The housing may have a generally circular or elliptical cross-section. A clamping assembly may hold together the components of the housing, and may be elongated in a direction along the flow path of the feedstream through the cassette. Various port-defining zones defined in the layers of the cassette may be sealed in a manner facilitating assembly of the cassette as well as isolation of the flow paths therein.
Oxygenator and method for manufacturing the same
In a method for manufacturing an oxygenator, an intermediate spacer is disposed between a cylindrical heat exchange unit configured by winding a first hollow fiber membrane and a cylindrical gas exchange unit configured by winding a second hollow fiber membrane so that a first gap is formed between one end portions of the heat exchange unit and the gas exchange unit, and a first partition section of a first cover member is inserted into the first gap. In such an oxygenator, a first end portion of the intermediate spacer is located at a part that does not overlap the first partition section in a radial direction in the heat exchange unit and the gas exchange unit. The intermediate spacer is formed by winding an intermediate hollow fiber membrane.
Mitigating leaks in membranes
Two-dimensional material based filters, their method of manufacture, and their use are disclosed. In one embodiment, a membrane may include an active layer including a plurality of defects and a deposited material associated with the plurality of defects may reduce flow therethrough. Additionally, a majority of the active layer may be free from the material. In another embodiment, a membrane may include a porous substrate and an atomic layer deposited material disposed on a surface of the porous substrate. The atomic layer deposited material may be less hydrophilic than the porous substrate and an atomically thin active layer may be disposed on the atomic layer deposited material.
Spacers for ion-exchange device
Provided are spacers, ion-exchange devices comprising spacers, and methods of preparing spacers for improved fluid distribution and sealing throughout an ion-exchange device. These spacers can include an internal cavity surrounded by a perimeter of the spacer. The perimeter can have a first opening and a second opening within the perimeter, and the first opening and the second opening can be located on opposite sides of the internal cavity. The spacers can also have a first and second plurality of channels located within the perimeter, wherein each channel of the first and second plurality of channels extends from the internal cavity towards the first opening or the second opening.
Sealing case for filter cassette
A sealing case for a filtration cassette that reliably prevents leaks after assembly and installation into a filtration system. The sealing case fits on the filtration cassette and provides a fluid-tight seal between the sealing case and around at least one port in the filtration cassette when installed in a filtration system. The sealing case may comprise two halves that mate together, and each half may be identical. The internal surface of the sealing case is flat or substantially flat.
Adhesive Composition Comprising a Thixotropic Agent
The present invention refers to an adhesive composition comprising a thixotropic agent, a polyurethane adhesive obtained from the adhesive composition as well as to the thixotropic agent comprised in the adhesive composition.
PERMEABLE MEMBRANE SUPPORT WITH A DETACHABLE PERMEABLE MEMBRANE
Disclosed is a permeable membrane support having an attachable and detachable permeable membrane, the permeable membrane support comprising: a lower support; an upper support partially accommodated into the lower support; and a permeable membrane disposed between the lower support and the upper support. When the upper support and the lower support are engaged with each other in a snap-fit manner, the permeable membrane is sandwiched between a bottom opening of a cylindrical lower member of the upper support and a top face of a bottom support portion of the lower support.
Spiral Wound Filtration Device And Methods Of Manufacture
A spiral wound membrane module, comprising a perforated core having an axially extending internal bore; at least one membrane packet comprising a folded membrane sheet defining a first outer face, a first inner face, a second outer face and a second inner face, the fold of the folded membrane sheet being a leading end of the membrane packet; a feed sheet positioned between the first and second inner faces so as to be sandwiched by the folded membrane sheet; a first permeate screen adjacent the first outer face of the membrane sheet defining a first permeate channel; a second permeate screen adjacent the second outer face of the membrane sheet defining a second permeate channel; and a fluid impermeable support coupled to the leading edge of the membrane packet. Also disclosed is a method of manufacturing the spiral wound membrane module.
