Elastically deformable component providing indication of proper fluid filter installation and related methods
An apparatus having a threaded bottom assembly for interfacing to connect the bottom assembly to a second structure with threads, having a deformable element that, when sufficient force is applied via the process of threading the bottom assembly to the second structure, and at an appropriate value of axial compression or pressure, passes from a stable state, through a rapid shape transformation to a second state via a regime of reduced resistance to deformation, creating a tactile or audible indication that the apparatus has been properly installed. The deformable element may be joined to the apparatus using a circumferential ring by friction fit or spring fit, and may adhere magnetically to the second structure to facilitation installation.
Elastic component providing indication of proper installation
An apparatus having a bottom assembly with a fitting for interfacing to connect the bottom assembly to a second structure, having an elastic element that, when sufficient force is applied via the process of mating the bottom assembly to the second structure, and at an appropriate pressure value, passes from a first stable position, through a threshold, and to a second position, creating a tactile or audible indication that the apparatus has been properly installed.
FILTER ASSEMBLY INCLUDING A REMOVABLE FILTER CARTRIDGE
A filter assembly includes a canister housing closable by a lid and containing a removable and replaceable filter element cartridge. The lid is part of the filter element cartridge and a single unitary component therewith, such that removal of the filter element cartridge also removes the lid, and replacement of the filter element cartridge also replaces the lid.

Break-Away Filter Housing Apparatus
A disposable filter cup and stem assembly with a filter disc or membrane secured between the cup and the stem. A frangible filter cup disengagement strip is formed on the filter cup about an end adjacent the stem. The filter disc or membrane is secured in the assembly in close proximity to the disengagement strip. Force applied to the disengagement strip separates the filter cup from the stem to expose the top, upstream surface of the filter disc or membrane and to permit removal of the filter disc from the assembly in an intact, substantially horizontal position. A disposable filter capsule assembly formed with a frangible filter capsule disengagement strip encloses a filter disc or membrane and permits separation of the capsule into two sections so as to expose an upstream surface of the filter disc or membrane and to permit removal of the filter disc or membrane in an intact condition after fluid processing. Disposable filter capsules with capsule halves having mated snap-fit surfaces and optional O-ring or luer lock type sealing surfaces, permit access to enclosed filter discs or membranes after fluid processing. Upon separation of the filter capsule halves, the upstream surfaces of the enclosed filter discs or membranes are exposed and the discs or membranes are accessible for removal in intact condition. O-ring free media holders constructed with weld spots permit access to enclosed free media by disengaging the weld spots after fluid processing.
Filters and filter arrangements which include a filter and a manifold assembly
A filter has first and second fittings, a permeable filter medium, and a housing. The housing defines a fluid flow path within the housing between the first and second fittings, and the permeable filter medium is arranged in the fluid flow path to remove one or more substances from a fluid flowing along the fluid flow path. A reservoir is positioned in an upper region of the housing and includes a wall surrounding the first and second fittings of the filter. Each of the fittings has a topmost portion and the wall of the reservoir has a topmost portion, the topmost portion of each filter fitting being at or below the topmost portion of the reservoir wall. A filter arrangement may include a filter and a manifold assembly having first and second fittings which may be sealingly coupled to or uncoupled from the first and second fittings of the filter.
Oil filter Sock
The present invention provides an oil filter sleeve. The oil filter sleeve provides a clean and safe method of removing an oil filter from the underside of a vehicle. The oil filter sleeve comprises a hollow cylindrical sleeve that removably attaches over an oil filter installed on a vehicle. The sleeve has an accordion like construction adapted to extend and retract in accordance with the size of the oil filter. Once the sleeve encloses the oil filter, a user may remove the oil filter from the vehicle and the oil filter sleeve will catch and hold any excess oil that leaves the oil filter. In this way, the oil filter sleeve prevents oil leakage and spillage.
Swimming pool cleaner inline debris trap and associated methods
A debris trap useful is a swimming pool cleaning system includes a container having an open end and an opposing closed end, wherein the closed end wall includes an outlet port. A cover includes an arcuate shaped outside surface and an open end. The open end is defined by a cover rim dimensioned from mating with the open end of the container. The cover includes an inlet port extending therethrough. A coupling is pivotally connected to the container and has an arm extending over the cover outside surface and contoured therewith. The arm is rotatable from a locked position for biasing the cover to the container to an unlocked position permitting removal of the cover from the container to facilitate easily removal of a filter basket carried within the container.
Fuel filter assembly and cartridge
A draw latch retainer is used to secure a filter cartridge to a filter head. A cam actuated retainer extends from the head to engage a keeper in the top of the cartridge. Rotation of the cam draws the retainer and cartridge axially toward the head into an installed position. The retainer extends through an aperture in the upper portion of the cartridge to apply a retention force against the bottom side of the keeper. The keeper and upper portion of the cartridge supporting the keeper are configured to transmit the retaining force laterally across the top of the cartridge. The keeper may be integral with a top plate enclosing an open end of the cartridge housing, or may be supported by the top plate.
Filter insert and guide arrangement
A filter insert is provided for being removably arranged in a filter housing and includes a first actuation arrangement positioned at a first end of the filter insert, wherein the first actuation arrangement is adapted for being actuated by a corresponding second actuation arrangement of a filter housing lid for controlling a relative axial movement between the filter insert and the filter housing lid.
