A potable water producing system for disposition at a salt water body and methods of producing potable water are provided. The system includes a wave energy conversion system (AWECS) and a portable filtration-anchor system. The AWECS forms a floating articulated barge having a desalination system including a reverse osmosis membrane. The filtration-anchor system is submerged in the salt water body and includes a sand filter to filter the adjacent salt water for providing the filtered salt water to the desalination system on the articulated barge. Wave action on the articulated barge provides energy to pump the filtered salt water from the sand filter to the reverse osmosis member to produce potable water. The wave action on the articulated barge effects the shaking of the reverse osmosis filter, thereby rendering it self-cleaning. The potable water can be used for various applications, e.g., bottling, replenishing aquifers, ground and/or aquifer remediation, irrigation, etc.

A filter system for filtering solids includes a filtration tank for receiving a slurry containing the solids to be filtered. A filter assembly including a plurality of filter cells each having a filter medium at an exterior and a cavity at an interior is lowered into the filtration tank using a transport device carrying the filter assembly. A vacuum transfer system is connected to the filter assembly so as to transfer a vacuum to an interior of the filter cells. The vacuum transfer system is operable to perform the filtering and to retain the filtered solids while the transport device moves the filter assembly relative to the filtration tank.

Water filtration systems and devices and methods of using the same. The present disclosure includes disclosure of a water purification system, comprising a portable case, an inlet configured to receive water for filtration, a first strainer configured to remove debris from the water for filtration, and a pump configured to pump water from the inlet, through the first strainer, through an in-line filter, and out of an outlet configured to discharge purified water.

The nature of the technical disclosure contained in the attached utility patent application is the methodology by which liquid and particulate contaminants are removed from used, dirty engine and machinery oil. The methodology includes the use of heat, vacuum and high pressure filtering.

A combined hopper and shaker assembly which can be used at least in processing excavation or other remains. The assembly features a hopper that can be pivoted (through operation of a hoist/sling) to cause the contents of the hopper to be fed via gravity through an exit chute onto the shaker. The hopper includes splash guards or sidewalls on the portions thereof that are proximate the pivot axis and an internal shape along the exit chute so as to guide the contents of the hopper toward the exit chute.

Described herein is a method for cleaning an electrocoating bath in a continuous facility, where a skid connected to a conveying installation is conveyed through the electrocoating bath, and where the skid includes a filter medium; the filter medium is secured on the skid via at least one movable connecting element; the movable connecting element allows the orientation of the filter medium at the interface between electrocoating bath and air; and, after immersion of the skid into the electrocoating bath, during the conveying of the skid through the electrocoating bath, the filter medium is oriented at the interface between electrocoating bath and air and is drawn along the surface of the electrocoating bath. Also described herein is a skid for use in the cleaning method.
