Undulated interlocking housing-endplate interface geometry

A filtration system having an undulated interlocking housing-endplate interface geometry is described. In the filtration system, a filter element endplate and a filter housing component (e.g., a shell housing, a filter mounting head, etc.) meet at an interface. The filter housing component includes an undulating or repeating pattern that meshes with a matching undulating or repeating pattern on the endplate of the filter element. The undulating or repeating pattern prevents the filter element from freely rotating with respect to the filter housing component of the filtration system.

A filter system for liquid media has a filter housing with housing pot and housing cover. The housing pot has a drainage channel with bottom-side drainage opening. A bottom end disk of a filter element has a closure element arranged off-center to a longitudinal filter element axis. The closure element, in predetermined installation position of the filter element, extends seal-tightly across or into the drainage opening. The bottom end disk has a cutout corresponding with a positioning aid of the housing pot. By screwing on the housing cover, the filter element moves with the housing cover axially toward the drainage opening and rotates until positioning aid and cutout engage and lock the filter element relative to the housing pot in a predetermined rotational position where the closure element is axially aligned with the drainage opening. The filter element moves with the housing cover axially into the predetermined installation position.

An upper plate provided on upper ends of a filtration member and an inner tube includes a tubular portion along the inner tube, a rib formed so as to protrude inward in a radial direction from an inner circumference of the tubular portion, and a hole formed in the rib. A gripping member has a protrusion portion that protrudes downward from a body portion having a thick plate shape inserted into a hollow portion of the tubular portion. When the gripping member is mounted on the upper plate, the protrusion portion is inserted into the hole.

FUEL FILTER DEVICE

A filter device including a probe where a filter element probe first end selectively engages with a sensing unit located in a filter head and a filter element probe second end is located in a contaminant portion of a filter canister. The probe fixedly engages through the filter element utilizing a sealing component. The filter element is disposed in the filter canister that engages with the filter head.

Genuine filter recognition with filter monitoring system

Systems and methods for determining whether an authorized or genuine filter element is installed in a filtration system are described. The authorized filter determination may be based on radio frequency identification (“RFID”) technology. RFID readers with antennas in the monitored filter systems read the RFID tag information from the installed filter elements and feed any detected information into the filter monitoring system. The filter monitoring system or a remote diagnostic system analyzes the returned data (or absence thereof) to determine if a genuine (i.e., authorized, OEM approved, etc.) filter element is installed or not.

Radial seal filter

An air filter includes a filter media, an end cap, a urethane outlet air seal, and a screen assembly. The end cap is secured to a first end of the filter media. The urethane outlet air seal is secured to a second, opposite end of the filter media. The screen assembly is secured to a central portion of the filter media between the first and second ends.

Electrical connector and wire harness assembly with compression contacts

A wire harness assembly including a first connector, a second connector, and conductors extending between the first connector and the second connector. Contacts are provided on the second connector. The contacts have termination sections which are mounted on the second connector, compliant sections which extend from the termination sections, and substrate engagement sections which extend from the compliant sections. The substrate engagement sections have curved contact sections which are configured to be positioned in mechanical and electrical engagement with circuit pads of a mating printed circuit board. Embossments are provided on the curved contact sections to provide additional strength and stability to the curved contact sections.

Controller for a manifold assembly in a water filter system

A control system for a water filter assembly comprising a filter having an RFID tag and an RFID sensor to generate a RFID signal containing data related to the filter. A valve assembly moves between a shut off position, an operational position directing the flowpath of the water supply through the filter, and a bypass position. A controller communicate with a lawn irrigation system to determine if the irrigation system is operative. When operative, the controller has the valve assembly switch to the bypass position. The controller also receives the RFID signal to verify if the filter is proper. The controller also receives a leak signal from a leak sensor and has the valve assembly automatically switch to the shut off position if a leak occurs. The controller can name the leak sensor with a location and indicate battery life of the leak sensor.
